I beleive it is not PPV, it is the ABC boys that have hurt boxing the most, PPV is some times over used but for massive fight it is god because it gets them made because the fighter can make the money, remember people when there was massive fights in 80s when it was closed circirt TV before PPV when you had to go to movie place of some other venue to watch the fight, not just pay the PPV and watch it in house, alot of younger fight fans would not remember this.

Yep, that and the level of talent getting into the boxing game these days is extremely pathetic on the whole. We don't have the Heavyweights we do by accident. We don't have current and former champions like David Diaz, Ponce De Leon, Paulie Malignaggi, Sergio Mora, Celestino Caballero, ect, and the general quality of athlete you'll find on ESPN Wednesday and Friday Night Fights by accident. The ratio of talent in every other sport is tremendously higher by the numbers, and that isn't by accident. We as a sport don't have the content and the menu to attract fans the way we once could.. Alot of these suck. Period.

I see your point but boxing is globe sport and there is alot of fighters out there, the average is 1000 per divison take a look at boxrec, you will be surpised, there is plenty of fighters, the major thing is watering down of a world champion fighter, Like with all these champions it hurt the meaning of it to become one there is so many fighter today that would not become champion if there was just 1 champ per divison.

Take a Look at WBA there a disgrace and boxing people should be very angry with them, A lot of American's don't see outside of there country and boxing is big around the world, if we can clean up ABC boys that would help boxing big time.

^ I do like the point you've made.. I will maintain though that just a small handful of top athletes coming over from Football, ect, or Football (Soccer) abroad would make a tremendous difference in our game.. Just 4 or 5 highly talented guys could change our history, but as I said I do agree strongly with what you're saying.
