I don't trust McCain. Nor do I like his ideas or want the government involved more than it already is. You talk about sleazy, that would be the government and most fighters cannot and would not promote or handle their money or career well.
Thinking back, I kind of wish I would have voted for Mccain. He's too left for the conservatives and too conservative for the left. I agree with some of his ideas, and seems like a stand up guy. I know he's been to A LOT of big boxing fights, you can even see some footage of him at De La Hoya vs Mayweather. He is a big supporter of boxing, as it was one of the top sports for most of his life until recently. 10 years in boxing is a long time, even if it's pro or amateur so there is definately some love there.
Too much money to be lost. Do you think that the powers that be would part with the millions that the promoters and alphabet organizations make?
I would have voted for him if not for his choice of running mate . . . Anyway, boxing desperately needs something like this. When the heavyweight champ is fighting only on a internet stream here in the U.S. then something ain't right.
