I just saw this on the frontpage. McCall apparently doesn't "respect" Gomez, because Gomez took cocaine. His (bizarre) reasoning is that Gomez was cheating to get an edge. I suspect his real reasoning is one of these weird "crack coke vs. non-crack coke" debates. At any rate, can anyone think of a better spokesman for staying clean that Oliver "Clean As A Whistle" McCall?
What? McCall criticizing someone for using blow? What's next, Holyfield knocking someone for infidelity or Golota talking about the evils of dirty fighting? Crack really is wack.
Yeah it is kind of hypocritical for McCall to denounce the use of drugs considering he was a user himself and broke down on national TV (I still remember watching that fight live when I was a kid and feeling bad for the guy). But at the same time, If McCall was on cocaine like gomez was, McCall would have probably killed him.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl So Oliver's argument is what?? Coccaine use is OK, but only if you SMOKE it???atsch:nut
I dont care what Mcall says, Tyson has made some off comments about fighters before, as long as Mccall comes in the ring and kicks some ass I could care less about he says.
Mccall must have dementia, or Alziheimers, or be extremely hypocritical, he must have forgot that he cried in the ring 10 years ago and quit, sniff, sniff:| i guess Lennox was punching to hard for him that night, and Ollie was in no mood for combat...
Alot of **** was going on his life at the time, the stress from fighting and his home life caused him to have a breakdown, yeah it really was Lewis' punches, Mccall had his ****in hands down and Lewis still couldnt hurt him.
Well maybe when Ollie felt Lewis's shots he decided to call it a day, and the fight was stopped before Mccall was turned into a bloddy mess, because he was unable to protect himself, i feel bad for anyone that has a breakdown but if that's the case OM shouldn't have gotten in the ring.. JUST MY OPINION..:think
I see what your saying, fighting is a stressful thing all by itself and when you mix in bad personal life, bad **** could happen. Sometimes a nervous breakdown happens when everything just becomes too much for your body to handle, and I guess that what unfortunatly happend to Mccall.
I heard that "The Atomic Bull" was doing rehab ( from hard drugs yes), had emotional unstability symptoms during that period when he fought Lewis for the second time and should never had gotten in the ring... If you ask me, Oliver has the sort of facial expression that covers the full spectrum from simple constipation to pure lunacy and maybe, this could just be him projecting himself into Gomez?
