McCall v Lewis 1994 .... final press call 2 days before "I am a desperate man and a desperate man is a dangerous man.."

Barrett v Haye 2008 .... final press call 2 days before " I am a desperate man and desperate men do desperate things.."

I get severe deja vu on this especially when the similarities dont just end there..

Both fights were in London, against a expert dangerman from the US.. and both American impoerts were feeling a bit disrespected for similar reasons... Haye and Lewis spoke about what they were planning to do after beating thier respective opponents, Lewis spoke about fighting Tyson, Bowe , Moorer etc .... Haye is talking about fighting Klitschko and all involved.. Alarm bells are ringing slightly...

    Any thoughts..?

Quite ironically Barrett went into cry mode after the Klitschko fight just as McCall in the rematch.

Hell... Monte almost started to cry at the last press conference bitching about the hotel they gave him (same where Haye stayed for the Maccarinelli fight).

Is he going to cry after he loses to Haye? I think yes. Desperate people usually cry when they get KTFU.

mmm So you think Oliver meant to miss Lewis , but hit him by accident..?

Oliver meant the shot to land on his chin after he threw the jab.. and he landed it, I never get the lucky punch thing.. Every punch thrown in the ring is meant to do its intended damage. So what is lucky about it?

OLiver threw the bombs with the intention of getting a stoppage, because he knew Lewis was a hard nut to begin to box against.. When Julian Jackson Ko'd Herol Graham , he threw the punch with Ko written all over it.. Many punches thrown are thrown and timed, he has always had a habit of blinking but knew where he was aiming his shot.. No such thing as a lucky punch.. He threw a similar shot seconds before the KO but it just fell short..

Lucky... mmm i never bought into that one..

If you boxed you would understand many things we do in the ring are done repetitiously with the element of chance .. Doubling up on the jab with the chance the opponent may walk onto the second shot.. deceiving and lying to your opponent.. Luck is what u make of it.. So did Tyson get lucky agaisnt Berbick?? he wasn't necessarily looking at where the punch was going but knew what his intentions were..

    Lewis under-trained and was under-prepared.

Haye has spent the last 8 months getting into perfect shape with the perfect mindset.

    Similarities are purely coincidence.

    Haye KO3.
