    Anyone?

I think you can't say "robbed" in an action-less clinch-fest like this and maybe that's why you don't hear much about this being a robbery because a) nothing dramatic happened, all fight and b) who watches something like this more than twice in order that they might be sure, but I would argue that it's very, very difficult to find seven rounds for Tucker here.

I had it 115-113 McCall despite Tucker rallying to take the final three rounds!

    TUCKER:4,6,10,11,12
    MCCALL:1,2,3,5,7,8,9,

I think you want to keep this to yourself. Anyone who can sit through that fight again, must be into some serious S and M!;)

From what I remember about that fight, Tucker was desperate to prove he could waste his talent as well as any other 'Lost Generation' Heavyweight. McCall spent twelve rounds showing he was still 'only' a Journeyman not a contender.

Yeah, it was pretty bad but it's interesting from the point of view of overlapping generations.

McCall impressed me here (a bit). Just with the persistence. He was clearly out-muscled but kept at it. Also: Freddie Ppachachahcheheheahcho was in commentary and it's the only fight i've seen him commentate on where it didn't hurt my head.

I didn't see this fight and from the sound of how it went, probably won't. I only saw the result in ring magazine a month after it happened. I've also heard that McCall may have deserved the nod against Orlin Norris.

The search is still on for a fight where Tony Tucker looked good ... outside of his glorious and heroic clear points loss to Tyson. :D

I also heard that McCall might have been lucky to get the nod against Jesse Ferguson.

It's alarming to me that one or two fights like this are beginning to evaporate. At least newspaper accounts of 1940s fights are easy to come by.

The fight was very close on the cards. If it was as reflected by those cards, you could see how such a rumour would start.

That is actually one of the more insane beatings you'll see in a heavyweight ring. In colour.

Nah. That was one fight that I actually did see on ESPN and while neither guy looked particularly impressive I think McCall was a tad busier. Hardly an impressive win though.
