Where does he rank in his weight class, in your opinion? Does he have a P4P status? What was the quality of his opposition? Was he widely ducked? Did he duck anyone? His great asset? Greatest weakness? Why was he unable to beat Toney in their three fights?

Hagler never ducked ANYONE.And to say he did is a flat out lie. Mccallum was a jr.middleweight/Hagler a middleweight.
McCallum should never have stayed at 154.A totally pointless junior division that has never had a single all-time great that only held a 154 title. He was huge and boiled down there and really should have manned up and fought at 160 after the first few years of his career. Of course a vacant title fight with Sean Mannion was far more appealing than trying to topple all-time great Hagler.
Terry Norris was an all-time great who fought exclusively at 154lbs. If Norris doesn't get pass marks as an all-time great, then their hasn't been many around in any division.

What wins made Norris an all-time great.Almost all of his name opponents were either much smaller or washed up.He lost to the best natural 154lber he fought in Jackson and was truly humiliatingly stopped by a seemingly washed up Simon Brown. Just because he made a long run of defences doesn't get him all-time status, or you would have dozens of fighters in the lower/junior divisions that racked up long lengthy reigns going down as all-timers. Coggi, Koichi Wajima,Ottke, Sammy Serrano....the list would be a lengthy one of fighters that had a nice title run but either failed to engage in career defining fights or simply weren't spectacular. Norris was a very good talented fighter and toward the top of any such list, but he was not great, or really even close imo.
Mccallum is simply becoming overrated. A shot Don Curry was outboxing him until getting caught. A milton Mccroy gave Mccallum life and death before getting halted in the 10th round. Sumbu Kalambay outboxed Mike EASILY in the first bout and deserved no less then a draw in the second one. If not for a mistake by the official Graham beats Mccallum. Mccallum was a wonderful champion who wqs very skillful but he was not in Leonards or Hearns league.He was just a shade below.
Fine fighter: I have him the 17th best fighter of the 80s; 37th of the 90s and #15 in the best fighters to turn pro since 1976.
