GGG h2h greatest middleweight in history. I give RJJ jr a chance out of being Golovkins only stylistic disadvantage.
McClellan wasn't much of a boxer apart from being a murderous puncher, GGG would outbox him easy and if McClellan doesn't pace himself well he gets koed late.
idk man, ggg aint ever been hit like that. i think the benn fight was a freak occurrence and benn was no small task to begin with. this is about where i see ggg level, so its a toss up for me.
People love to mock Golovkin's list of opponents, so let us flip this question around. Who did McClellan beat?
Prime for Prime McClellen would have to TKO Golovkin to win.....Golovkins chin is Granite Golovkin to win by TKO.!!!!
This is what I think too. I reckon McClellan goes full throttle to try and take GGG out early and gasses out.
Julian Jackson twice and John Mugabi. And ... that's it. McClellan's resume is far flimsier than Golovkin's, so much so that he defended the WBC Middleweight title against a man with a 28-16 record. If Golovkin ever did that during his reign, he would get absolutely pilloried by plenty of people on this forum.
Golovkin breaks him down and stops him. GMan had frightening power and probably hits harder than Golovkin but he hit harder than Benn too and he still couldn't put him away. I see this like a Hearns/Hagler scenario, total war for as long as it lasts but Golovkin takes GMan's power, pushes him back, breaks him down and KO's him inside 6 rounds.
