vitali's a smart fighter. just because the fight was boring doesn't mean the fighter isn't skilled.

as an englishman you should remember the slugfest lewis and vitali had, now try to imagine yourself going at that pace as a heavyweight. it's a hell of a lot harder than fighting that hard as a light heavy.

vitali has excellent power and a solid chin, so to say that he he'll get KO'd by the first decent heavy that comes along is reckless heresay.

if the day comes that vitali is tiring against a good HW, you can bet that other heavy is going to be hurting from vitali's punches.

One of the reasons why I made this post is to see how would David Haye have handled the Peter who fought Vitali that night.

I honestly think Haye would have stopped him within 5 rounds, even with a one-punch KO. Did you see how slow and plodding Peter was on that night ?

However we all know the fighter a b c scenario in most cases doesnt tell us all we need to know.

Vitali wasnt worried about puttun Peter down, he was worried about getting the W, something McCline didnt get.

Vitali wanted to PUNISH Peter and that's what he did. Did you see his reaction after Peter quit? I think he wanted to knock him out in the 12th. He's a bad son of a *****, Haye is lucky to fight Wlad.

Peter had a ruptured eardrum in the McCline fight. I tried to tell peeps that but no they would not listen. Peter has a granite chin

A ruptured eardrum can **** with your equilibrium, but so can a uppercut by a 265 pound man. I wont argue wether or not Peter had a broken hand, slipped on the banner, or had a ruptured eardrum, but I will come to Samuel's defense and say, he only had 10 days to prepare for a very game Jamel McCline, and did not have proper time with the sparring partner brought in to mirror McCline's size and fighting style.

Peter was caught with some big punches, by a haevy handed heavyweight, **** happens, he recovered and fought his way back into the fight and ended up getting the hard earned victory. At that the end of the day it was learning experince, and against Vitali he proved he still has top notch chin, though his heart didnt pass the test.

His sparring partner ruptured his eardrum 2 weeks prior to the fight

Vitali and McCline are two different fighters in terms of style, McCline was looking for big punches and Vitali was loking fo volume.

Peter quit before he could get KOed. Sdunek told Vitali to finish Peter in the corner before the 9th round. Peter quit before it could happen.

I think it may have been an off night for Peter because he also stood up to Wlad Klitschko's best punches without being dropped. No real reflection on Vitali's punching power compared to McCline's, more testament Peter's chin.
