Not a done deal, but in the works.

Ruiz has now adopted a more aggressive, come forward style, that seems to work well on the lower level opponents he's tried it out on, thus far. But it'll be interesting to see what he can do with McCline, who is probably pretty confident, after he had such a shockingly good performance against Peter.

I hope if McCline wins, he calls Peter out in the post fight interview!:good

This should be a great fight, as well as a great night of heavyweight boxing.

Don't forget Juan Diaz/Nate Campbell will also be on the undercard from what I've read. This is going to be a great night of boxing.

    My picks:
    Diaz UD
    McCline UD
    Peter TKO5

It will be interesting cause Ruiz will try his new style out on a good opponent for the first time. I wonder if he can stick to this new style, or will he revert back to his ol gorilla tactics.

And after the Peter fight, McCline has discovered the joy of the uppercut; a punch taylor-made for KOing Ruiz, who will be coming in low.

OF COURSE Ruiz will revert to excessive holding - with his mediocre boxing abilities, he can't "win" otherwise against even fringe contenders like McCline.

However, since King dropped him, he hasn't had the "protection" that King's influence provided, allowing him to get away with his illegal tactics, and consequently he hasn't been violating the rules with impugnity.

Of course, except for tomato cans, he hasn't been "winning" either. And he won't this time either.

    Nice I'd say, nothing else.

Don't wanna see either of them getting a shot at a belt again, it's time for some new blood.

One good uppercut from McCline. That's all I ask for. Louize won't take the abuse Sam Peter did, that's for sure.

Ruiz fought very well against both Valuev and Chagaev, with minimal holding in each fight he was very effective. In fact, a large percentage of objective fight fans (which obviously excludesZakman who for some reason has a blind hatred for Ruiz) scored the Valuev fight for Quietman. There's not reason to think that Ruiz couldn't outpoint McCline.

I agree that Ruiz will beat this guy in a very very boring matchup.
