McCloskey brands Team Khan offer 'ridiculous'

I think all round boxing abiltiy McC is better , Maidaina has the better power but bar Ortiz(who has no heart) who has Maidaina beat ??

 

I don't blame them for going back and asking for more but saying "running scared" is just silly.

McCloskey is lucky he's getting the shot and should just do what Chisora has done in fighting for the title regardless that the money ain't great.

 

We will find out when he steps up !!!

 

McCloskey is in no position to call the shots. Chances are he won't get another opportunity like this, take what you can get Paul. You may live to regret overpricing yourself.

 

Victor Cayo and he should arguably have gotten the decision against Kotelnik. ****, his victory over an old Chop Chop is better than anything McCloskey has done.

I hate when people say this. You can make anybody's resume look bad if you take people off of it. He beat him. He's there. Dont hypothetically take him away to improve your argument. I'd argue Victor Cayo is better than anyone McCloskey has beaten as well.

 

I can understand where he's coming from here to be fair.

When you think of the amount of money this fight would generate it's not unreasonable for McCloskey to expect a half decent sum of money.

From what I understand Peterson wanted £200k, which in my opinion was pretty low compared to what Khan would make..... it takes two to make a fight, and regardless of who sells the tickets they are both entitled to a fair share - whatever they agree on I suppose.

It's not a question of McCloskey needing Khan, he can always keep his European and look for a mandatory for the WBC and earn the same money if not more in Ireland..... a few easy defences would raise his profile and make him some big bucks.

 

what im trying to say is that maidaina is not the floyd mayweather some people are trying to make out on this thread , he has decent power and decent skills but he is not as talented as some would make you belive

Not as much money as the WBA belt would make him with a few easy defences. If he thinks he can beat Khan then he should take the fight.

 

I thought he was very overated but he went up a bit in my estimations in the Khan fight.

He is definately a long way better than anyone paul has faced.

maybe so but i think McC is a better all round boxer than maidana and people start saying its the most ridiculas thing they've ever heard ,its a bit funny when you go back a few months before the khan fight and most people were saying khan would beat maidaina easy as he is crude and a basic slugger , the attitudes on this forum never cease to aamaze me
