If Khan has offered him the £150k allegedly offered to Peterson then he would be foolish not to take it.

If they offered him even £100k he should probably take it. But less than £100k and then we are getting into the realms of 'ridiculous'

Some guy on the general forum claimed Peterson was asking for 600k!
I find it hard to believe but you never know. I Imagine the issue could also depend on the currency. 150K (Sterling) would not be bad. If it was 150K (Dollars) I could understand McCloskey wanting more. I'm not sure which fights make more money for McCoskey Brian Peters / RTE fights or Sky Sports / Barry Hearn fights but I imagine it's the latter. Anyone hear know how much Sky generally pay for those Friday fight night headliners?

To me in Petersons and McCloskeys position you've got to take the short end of the purse and go and try to win the title. Neither guy has time on his side.

I'd prefer to see Khan against McCloskey instead of Peterson so I hope it gets made. If the offer was so bad maybe PM can confirm what it was to see if he really is being undercut?

Agreed, unless they are really trying to take the **** out of him he ought to take it, though I can understand him being a bit peeved if they are trying to low ball him.

It's a no-lose really..... win and he'll get the title, there'll be a rematch clause no doubt and another payday.

Lose and he's still European champion and can use that to get some more decent paydays before he calls it quits.

I like Darren Barker and think he can go to the top, but it's difficult to scram and shout that he's better than anyone based on who he faught!!!

Little bit like Rahman against Lewis. The re-match made Rahman a small fortune!!!

Not sure.... he'll obviously have to if he wins, I'd like him to try and keep hold of it because we see too many vacant title fights with belts being passed around like confetti - the Barker/Macklin pass the parcel is poor IMO.

Does he still have the obligation to rematch Lauri..... if he does that will tip the scales toward vacating. It's not a fight I'd want to see again anyway, he was crap that night and still won by stoppage.

Not as if there were any signs of him being on PEDs

Even if he has to vacate he could get a shot at the vacant EU belt straight away if he loses

Yip Team Khan have said a lot of potential opponents have "priced themselves out" of fights...Maidana...Katsidis, Murray, Peterson, etc etc

Does anyone know what the real offer was?
