    I'm all for a fair split of money, but how does a fighter who has never generated serious money get the right to take a chunk of cash off the fighter who does?

    Does anyone in team Khan have prior experience of professional boxing? They seem clueless at making fights and don't realize that it takes two to tango.

    to anyone how knows boxing presscott fight is totally pointless after his last display against mitchell i dont think it would sell anywhere near like it did last time round i think mccloskey would make more money imo ,presscott does not bring anything fans tv nothing mccloskey does

    I ****ing hate it when people start responses with that sentence, makes you sound like a patronising wanker!!!

    I cannot see any way that Khan McCloskey out sells Khan Prescott II.

    Regardless of what Prescott has done since the average man in the street only remembers what he did to Khan.

    It would sell very well.

    KHAN would KO Prescott. Every once in a while the underdog wins and Prescott got to Khan that night. A lot of fighters lose the odd one here and there even to inferior opponents. The casual fans often fail to realise that boxing is a 2 horse race and a single punch can end things.

    If Khan and Prescott has faced eachother 100 times in 2008 Prescott would have won every single time. It was no fluke.

    I tend to agree with you. I would prefer to see Khan-McCloskey for obvious reasons and I think it would be the better fight, but I think that Khan-Prescott would sell easier, both in terms of paper inches, advertising and PPV - maybe not tickets sales, I think that Khan-McCloskey would sell quicker in the box office than Prescott but that both would still sell out the MEN so that is almost a null point.

    There is always something satisfying about seeing a guy avenge defeats, its cleansing and shows the world "it was a blip, I am better now, he just got lucky, now stop talking about it and lets move on"

    Much in the way that Kiko Martinez will always sell in Ireland, Prescott and Katsidas will sell in the UK. Just bill its as "Redemption" and be done with it.

    Plus it wasn't like a Oliver McCall/Hasim Rahman one punch thing, it was Prescott walking through and destroying the young Khan. Difficult to tell the psychollogical effect of Khan getting back in the ring with him.

    Which is it, does Prescott have a genuine chance of beating Khan, or is it that it just sells well?

    it just sells well. honestly i would love to see mcCloskey get a chance and i think he has a very good chance in that fight but if i were lookin after khan i would make the prescott fight (as long as amir wants it). its an easy sell, the general sport fan will looks at that KO and be interested, as will the mainstream paper media and Sky dont have to plug it too much. plus, if kevin mitchell can out box him, khan should be a shoe in.

    Would HBO get onboard though?

    maybe i am a patronising wanker.
    and the average man on the street does not buy many boxing ppv most of the viewers are boxing fans.
    you may as well just give khan £15 rather than watch khan do to presscott what mitchell did which was **** borin imo mccloskey is much more competitive imo still a one sided win for khan
