McCloskey doesn't deserve a rematch but he did impress me

His performance was pathetic and if that was his tactic he and his team are ****ing stupid as thats not the way to beat Amir Khan.

if you no your going to stand out of range and not take punches and not try any counters what do you have to be nervous about??

People on the page are saying it was always Paul's plan to knock Amir out late.

Yeah, right. It was really Paul's plan to lose every damn round till the 12 and try to knock Amir out, wasn't it?

I respect Paul but his team are an absolute joke with the disrespect they showed at the post interview.

 

He made himself hard to pin down and hit,but what did he land?,one right hand all fight??.

He spoiled,made khan look messy,he was southpaw and awkward,probably not the best fighter to fight on a homecoming,but in a way khan gains experience from it,and he still won everyround with ease.

before the annoyingly premature stoppage khan was starting to get to him and hurt him with clean shots.

Khan does look a little too much punches and with speed,he needs to throw a little less and throw with a little more power tbh.

 

i dont believe mccloskey had a chance of beating khan but fighters in the past have turned fights around, i mean we were only halfway through the fight.

 

Yea I thought he threw too much in there. It's not a bad fight to learn from though

 

Khan started to get to Paul, Rele. He started tagging him and Paul felt those shots.

 

When a fighter chooses to be as negative as McCloskey was, chances are he will make the opposition look less than ordinary. He was a southpaw with an awkward style, who was hell-bent on avoiding incoming attacks, and not doing anything else. It's natural to expect Khan to miss a few. Other than that, McCloskey did nothing to warrant a rematch.

Such a ****ing shame the cut happened. Khan was beginning to find the mark more and more.

for all we know mccloskey could have scored a ko 2:58 of round 12.

 

he reminded me of a poor naseem in this fight..hands low, dodging waiting for the big shot!
I was waiting for him to unload but he seemed occupied by amir's jabs.

I would love to know what his game plan was..

May have done, McCloskey was dancing more than he was boxing.

 

still we should have seen a decisive conclusion whether khan knocked him out of mccloskey landed a hail mary punch. weirder things have happened in boxing.

 

Fancy upperbody moves dont win you points in the eyes of judges, Len goodman always emphasises good footwork, and Dudey had none. Explains him losing all 6 rounds.

 

how was his performance pathetic when it is clearly obvious he his plan was to come strong in the 2nd half of the fight. Lots of European fighters do this. He didnt deserve to win the first 6 granted, but at the corners Khan was gasping and McCloskey has a habbit of starting slow and relaxed.
