    Let's not.......

When we talk about leagues and classes apart this is the definition. Looking like a defensive master against the likes of Barry Morrison is one thing but Khan's a different kettle of fish. Paul would lose a one sided messy bout IMO.

Can't fault the lad for drive though..

How about McClosky fight someone rated in the top 20 first.

Instead of fighting a guy ranked 10 in the uk.

McCloskey needs to get a wriggle on (hes over 30!!) and start upping his level of opponents before this becomes a realistic match.

Maybe he should give Oisin ***an a call, apparently he was a worthy enough opponent to get Khan a title shot.

Khan is all wrong for McCloskey. I think he'd beat him fairly handily. Late stoppage or one sided UD.

As much as Im a fan of Khan, I dont think he can beat Mccloskey. Paul can punch and hes bound to land flush on Khans chin at some point.

Does that mean you would be hoping for Khan to win?

The fact of the matter is McClosky is a nobody in world terms, Khan had a name through his exploits at the Olympics, I do agree Khan got his shot through being able to bring big cash to the table rather than work his way up, but using the ***en example is poor, the kid was just knocked out in 59 seconds, all fighters well the vast majority are given easy/confidence building fights after being beat so bad.

Since Khan has been champ he is going about it the right way, Malignaggi now Maidana. My point is it's all good and well calling Khan out but why would Khan fight McClosky? Please tell me? The guy beats Maidana and he has the pick of any fighter he want's, he is probably the biggest cash cow in world boxing outside of PPV, but you think he should fight McClosky. :patsch

Imagine the stick he woud get if he beats Maidana and everyone is expecting him to fight Bradley, Alexander, Ortiz or JMM. No he has decided to fight McClosky. I bet HBO would be licking there lips at the prospect of that fight.

He should fight a Souleymane M'baye, Kendall Holt first imo.

He was originally meant to fight M'Baye for the EBU which would have been a very good victory to get under his belt.

Another fighter looking for a big pay day.

Khans on another level. He needs to fight his mandatory and then look at unification.

I don't get it, Harrison can fight Haye, Jennings can fight Cotto, Locket can fight Pavlik, etc, etc, but McCloskey shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as "King" Khan  The ***an example is valid, you are saying McCloskey should fight a top contender but Khan's opposition was dire before he fought Kotelnik. I think it's pretty irrelevant anyway as I can't see Khan hanging onto that title for too much longer. He has been carefully managed all through his career for a reason.
