Maidana has confirmed that he'd like to fight McCloskey and with McCloskey having won the WBA eliminator against Prescott the fight now looks certain to happen. What way do you see it going?

McCloskey wont be ablt to take the pressure from Maidana and will end up taking a few bad shots and go down. I think Mitchell would do an absolute job on 'Dudey' let alone Maidana.

Maidana wins by brutal k.o. within 8. Mcloskey doesn't have the power to keep Maidana off him. He's a solid euro-level fighter at best & will never win a world title.

I don't like McCloskey's chances here. He seems to have developed his whole style around being awkward and difficult to hit but Prescott landed plenty on him last night and wobbled him twice. Fair play to him for having the heart to drag himself back into it but I thought he lost the fight and he'd have to produce something much, much better to beat Maidana especially if it happens on neutral ground.

Dunky summed his style up quite well in a different thread when he said "a nice shot here and a nice shot there but not much else" or words to that effect. Maidana would walk right through that. McCloskey took rounds off Prescott when he was able to make him go backwards but I don't think he'd be able to do that against Maidana and I think he'd be under pressure, taking heavy shots, all night long. Maidana stops him in the mid-rounds for me.

Ive gone with Maidana by decision , i think it will be closer than most think, Maidana is easy to hit, Prescott showed much improvement in his boxing and kept dudey at the end of his jab. Maidana is and will always be raw thats his strength. Whose to say McCloskey wont find it easier to make Maidaina miss and then counter??

He loses by wide decision or else late stoppage. Out of all the top guys, I think Maidana's style matches up with Dudey's the best but he still won't be able to beat him imo.

Maidana is actually world class, he's levels above Prescott.

I wouldnt say that Maidana is levels above the Prescott i saw last night , no way. Its not hard at all to vision Maidana coming in and getting caught by Prescott`s right hand.
If they ever fight it will go into the late rounds, thats if one aint already stopped, Maidaina i think would win, as Prescotts gasses out.

mccloskey wont have enough power to stop a guy like maidana walking through him and wearing him down, though to be fair mccloskey showed a decent chin last night against prescott so i dont think it will be an early demolition, a late round stoppagbe for me.

McCloskey makes him miss a shitload in the 1st 6 (but still losing most rounds) and takes Marcos into deep waters and takes over to brutally finish him in the 11th.
