Mccloskey vs Theophane as a final eliminator is a fight I would like to see. I am 100% confident Theophane beats Dudey.

Ashley theophane would stand him on his head, i'm willing to put my neck out and say if he beats theophane i'll quit posting on esb
he looks world class when hes up against british fighters, but when he fights some one who's reasonable like prescott he squeeks out a home town decision, against a fighter who in most eyes is inflated and is not world level

They could get someone like Juan Urango or Kaizer Mabuza over to Belfast for February ? world ranked light-welterweights known for their fights with Hatton/Alexander for Urango and Judah for Mabuza

Both winnable fights for McCloskey as well.

Who cares, McCloskey aint going nowhere.

  9. Maidana would come over I think.

He's regularly had fights in Argentina in between his bigger fights on HBO, if the money was right he'd be over in a flash.

I don't see why Paul couldn't beat Alexander, you can hear Devon's punches coming a mile off, stand in the pocket and let your hands go..... he's yours. But insist on judges with eyes.

McCloskey lost a serious amount of fans over here in ireland in places other than dungiven after the khan debacle, out of myself and my closest mates that i watch boxing with over here we all wanted prescott to win after about the 6th round in the last fight and we all thought it should of gone to prescott

I can appreciate that some people feel that McCloskey isn't world level yet but it's beyond question that he's definately good enough to compete with the best in the world at 140lb.

A lot of the comments about his lack of aggression and not seizing his opportunity against Khan are justified, however I'd recommend that anyone who feels that way watches his fight against Prescott. Whilst his performance against Prescott was far from perfect he demonstrated all of the attributes that were missing in his fight against Khan - aggression, big heart etc etc.

I reckon he can cause an upset against Maidana if he can complement his famous boxing skills that were missing in his last fight with the courage and hunger he showed. He can't afford a slow start and let Maidana dictate the pace..

Hopefully Maidana will take this fight, ticket sales and TV sales will not be an issue and I'd imagine Eddie's offer is fair

Maidana said he wanted to fight in Belfast but the money wasnt right for team McCloskey. It shud be Prescott Vs maidana anyway.

he didnt look great against Prescott...but then again, Khan looked less than average against Prescott

Would love to see a Prescott/McCloskey rematch and also a Khan/Prescott rematch, both could be brilliant fights! IMO Prescott deserves another shot at Khan a lot more than McCloskey.

Well im a fan of Mccloskey but I know he isnt world class, his performances against Khan and Prescott should prove that. Hes a solid fringe contender, nothing more, nothing less.
