Anyone got any news or the weigh in video? I heard it took Prescott 2 attempts to make weight. If anyone has something then post it here. Cheers.

I know that both have made weight, and it took Prescott a couple of attempts, but I've struggled to find any bits of news over the past hour. No pictures, no videos, no nothing.

I think Vitali will win in a surprisingly competitive affair (Adamek's movement will make Vitali's night harder than usual).

McCloskey will outbox Prescott in a pretty dull 12 rounds. We're gonna' see Prescott do a lot of chasing and missing, and slowly walking onto more and more shots as the fight progresses.

And Gamboa will look spectacular again :good

    Who've you got?

Don't know much about the Gamboa fight but I agree with what you said with that one

Also I agree with what you said on the Vitali/Adamek fight altho I think Vit may stop Adamek in the later rounds but I'm rooting for Adamek.

But with the McCloskey/Prescott bout I don't have a clue what to expect, Khan think's McCloskey will win but from what I've seen from McCloskey's fight with Khan, all PM does is defend and doesn't do much attacking

    Three very interesting fights though

Yeah, that's a problem with McCloskey.

But the reason why he was overly defensive against Khan and didn't throw much back, was because that's what Khan reduced him to. McCloskey is accustomed to people throwing small combinations (two or three punches at max) that he can evade, and exploit the time/freedom to then come back with counters. But against Khan, he was up against the initial three punches which would miss, as well as another three or four that would immediately follow. He was being swarmed and forced into a defensive mode which allowed him very little chance to throw anything meaningul in return. You'll notice Judah suffer the same problems against Khan, too.

But he won't be experiencing these issues with Prescott - who is very one-dimensional, slow, and throws punches from a mile away.

As per usual! Looking forward to reporting on this tomorrow night. Fight should be a good one. McCloskey has slated the skills of Khan, Maidana and Prescott, but he has to back up his words. I think he will tomorrow, if not ultimately when he gets his world title opportunity again.
Carl Frampton should make easy work of Mark Quon, he's been training like a demon and looks absoutely ripped - as usual. Frampton in two for me.
Really looking forward to seeing standout amateur Eamonn O'Kane in against tough middleweight Joe Rea. Rea loses a lot but I take it he jumps in at short notice, on the road, and is well able to mix it. O'Kane PTS or maybe he stops him in 7 or 8, the final round.

I know the Khan-McCloskey fight has been chewed over and I'm not here to defend his tactics - except he did what he thought he had to. I talked to him in the lead-up, discussed his tactics with his coach in interviews and in fairness they were clear - get the fook out of the way for the first few rounds.
Now, after 5-6 he was leaving it a bit late to make an impact. But he was confident he had the power to hurt Khan later. We never got to see if he could. That said, Khan was getting to him by then, not the other way around.

    This.

Khan excels against counter punchers due to his workrate and reflexes/speed. McCloskey will be able to see Prescott loading up with his bombs a mile off, and he'll exploit it too.

Not sure how much backing up one can do against a Prescott - who, to be brutally honest, is pants. McCloskey's acting as though he [Prescott] is undefeated, and that by beating him, he'll be doing something that the likes of Mitchell and Vasquez haven't.
