Too be honest he has a point he did make Khan look amature and khan was visibly getting tired. And the fact that there was no worry in his corner does somewhat make up the claim that the game plan was to get into the fight in the last half of the fight

Oh... here was me thinking he was getting tired of hitting air. Too be honest everyone said that if mclosky was to win it would be by KO in the late because he cant outbox khan and khan is a very fast starter. So i wasnt really surprised that mclosky wasnt doing anything. NOT SAYING HE WOULD HAVE WON. But you must agree the fight was stopped too early

 

No way jose. McCloskey was totally out of his depth, & was looking for a way out. He had no answer to Khan, & I say that as a neutral observer. McCloskey is a good fighter, but Khan is a better fighter, much better in fact, & it showed.

The trouble with McCloskey is that hes too proud to admit that he wanted out of there, thats why hes acting like this. I can understand his behaviour, but at the end of the day this place is all about opinions, & in my opinion? McCloskey wanted out. He knew when he was beat.

 

The funny thing is, he met Amir on arguably his worst night since the Prescott fight and still couldn't do anything to him, for the 6 rounds.

*Amir's training camp was all over the place.
*They expected McCloskey to come forward (wrong sparring)
*Amir get's kicked off PPV, loses over £1.2M.
*Had a new Conditioning coach, who didn't really condition him correctly.
*Had everything to lose and was his first fight back in the UK.

Ah well, can't blame him for leaching off Amir's name.

 

I genuinely hope Prescott makes a holy ****in show McCloskey. ****in sour ******* wasnt even in the Khan fight.

McCloskey is turning into a massive joke. You see **** like Lara and Mathysse getting routinely jobbed and Agbeko being ****ed over by an obviously corrupt referee and this guy has the cheek to act like he was cheated out of a win after trying his best to stop a fight from breaking out for 6 rounds. Trot on you quilt.

 

How so?

I'm pretty sure before the fight, any of us who predicted the outcome said that McCloskey's only chance of winning would be to be aggressive.

Amir and Roach said it themselves that they expected Paul to come forward, which he didn't, so if you're sparring guys who are coming forward and being aggressive, then surely you can say that it's the wrong sparring.

McCloskey's idea was to be defensive, and apparently come on strong late. Do you think they would have been preparing for a McCloskey who's going to strictly rely on reflexes through 6 rounds and then attempt to knock Amir Khan out late?

I don't think so.
