The German Ali who completely schooled Chisora for 12 easy rounds, a fight that Adam Smith has tried to erase from history, is on the shortlist to box AJ now.

Make no mistake, this hunky 26 year old German-born Turk Agit Kabayel would bamboozle the big dosser from Watford with his silky footwork and dynamic upper body movement.

This is the opponent I would like to see the most out of the new shortlist:

Give me a nudge and wake me up when a fighter grows a pair and finally has the balls to step up to try and take the golden lottery ticket.

Agit's last fight also demonstrated that besides the movement he has serious power too, downing Rudenko who took everything Povetkin and Prime Browne threw at him for 12 rounds.

FFS CutThroat , Kabayel is a German boxer and one for Wembley or Principality stadium or an event in Dusseldorf or Dortmund in the very near future not the US.

Don't get me wrong he is a quality boxer who will certainly get a big event in Europe . But this is the US and AJ's debut , many Americans specifically New Yorkers want someone who they are at least aware of or can cheer for with or against AJ .

If I were in the shoes of any of those fighters I would be absolutely begging double for the fight, I wouldn’t give Eddie a moments peace. I’d train for 6 weeks, earn a **** load of money, give it my best and then when I probably lost say I didn’t have enough time to prepare and come out the other side in a much better position. There’s really nothing to lose.

Jesus Christ he says Joyce doesn’t have the profile or resume but he puts Trevor Bryan in there.

This isn’t me clamouring for Joyce to be put in with aj I reckon aj ice’s him but to put charr and Bryan on this the list is madness.

That’s why I said “fringe” option. I don’t for a second expect him to be selected. Total polar opposite to Miller in every way: more handsome, silkier, a gentleman. Not a chance McCracken would fancy him this late.

Eddie probably wants to use Joyce down the line, I reckon he thinks he can sign him in the future or have him pitched against Joshua with a few more improved wins under his belt. Wouldn’t make sense for Eddie to use him now, similar to hunter I think. I bet Eddie likes the Ruiz option the most.

Aj has sparred kabayel many times so they have some preparation for what he could possibly bring to the table.

Can’t see them going for that fight as his American debut though like no yank is going to give a **** about European champion.

Really? you seem pretty naive as to what Joshua can throw back . I think McCracken would fancy AJ against anyone right now , remember AJ looking to make a big impact in his US debut and I bet he is willing anyone to fight after all as a champ you gotta be prepared to face all comers .

Kabayel's the most underrated HW in the division right now. I rewatched his last two fights and the man can flat out box. Excellent jab and right hand, can fight well off the back foot or coming forward, solid defence and movement. There's very little that he does poorly at all.

I'd pick him over Hunter right now, if the two fought.

Hearn previously ruled out Byran and although Hearn hasnt ruled out Charr, he didnt seem keen on him.

Hunter, Ortiz, Kabayel and Ruiz are all decent options and I can see why they have shortlisted.

Yeah 100% it’s more of money fight later down the line especially a fight in England like undefeated English heavyweight world champion vs undefeated English heavyweight at Wembley it would make big bucks.

But my problem is it’s hypocritical to dismiss Joyce yet have charr or Bryan on the list.

Yeah ruiz can bring some Mexican ticket sales and eyeballs to the fight imagine advertising it while the Mexican’s watch canelo Jacobs will help with some crossover appeal to the Hispanic market.

Top three are good replacements. Kabayel
Could be alright as well, but makes no sense when as the other three have all been based on America and are more well known. Charr and Bryan(especially Bryan) have been handed their status by the WBA and have no place fighting for a world title. Bryan as the WBA interim Champion is sickening.

That's the trouble. People would be like, who da f*** is this guy? And if he caused AJ problems, as he might, that'd reflect badly on Joshua.

Hunter or Ortiz are the only realistic options right now.
