Maybe he should take Gavin up on that £500 bet as well then.

I think Gavin would be a much more impressive fighter if he was fighting at a higher standard, honestly. Same as I said about DeGale a while back. Put these guys in against people with no chance and they may not look overly impressive, like, for example, Khan used to, but they'll show their true quality against better opponents.

Very much agree. He has to force fights vs the journeymen and hopefully now in a good test vs cook we can see his great boxing ability. This has the potential for gavin to shine. Even with degale being so impressive professionally up to now, I think frankie will go the furthest of his generation

don't see why this makes him a tosser. He might be a tosser for other reasons, but if he feels the need to air these thoughts unprovoked, then there must be some truth behind them. He obviously likes the kid and wants him to do well. Why is he a tosser?

Mccory is right. Frankie Gavin pulled out of the december bill because he had girl problems and pretended he had a flue.

Don't see how he is being "a tosser". What he says is completely true, 8 fights in 24+months as a pro is abysmal

I don't see why he is a tosser. infact I give him credit for not toeing the Sky line and bigging up Gavin.

Remember is McCrory that is doing thr 11 for 2011 feature for sky where he visits the 11 which included Gavin.

The rumours about Gavins lifestyle were around long before the Olympics. At I don't care how many times Farnell and Gavin come on here saying how heard he works, I am dubious.

To me he has never looked in paticularly good shape. And when it came down to it with the Olympics he blew it. People have been questioning Kevin Mitchells dedication this week and the same questions should be asked about Gavin. The Olympics is as big as it gets in sport, and if he had won the gold which he was favourite to do he would have been a millionaire.

He couldn't get motivated for that so why is it going to change in the pros. You can say he struggled at the weight but you could see photos of him on facebook drinking pints a few months before the olympics.

He is a small Light Welterweight and was complaining about struggling to make weight in the summer.

People are well within there rights to question Frankies dedication and they will continue to do so until he proves us differently.

Boxing is not boby building but compare FG to the two champions at 140lbs.

Give Ovil Mckenzie at least 8 weeks notice sonny. First time only 3 weeks notice, this time only 5 weeks notice. Give Ovil Mckenzie 8 weeks notice and I gurantee he stops you! BOOM!
