How is he a tosser? if Frankie is giving it less than 100% then he needs to be told or else he will waste his talent like many many before him. I hardly think Glen would write and article stating that Frankie is known for being a tad unprofesional if he hadn't heard stories from very reliable sources.

He has all the time in the world after he retires to have a "funtime" then next 8-10 years he should be focussed on his boxing, it is not a long time.

thats a fair point but Bellew, Nelson and Gavin also get allot of positive stuff posted about them which those you mentioned didn't.

like i have said in another post Haye gets more stick then all of them put together so does Khan. Mitchell has been in for it this week.

last year some of the Bellew posts were a nauseating.

Billy Nelson is as bad as any poster on here btw. he brings it on himself.

i think he slows down and his technique diminishes as fights go on. this happens to all fighters but more so with Gavin. just my opinion.

i never said i don't want them just would rather not have them if it turns out to be like this every times theres a thread.

if you cant make a critical thread about frankie gavin without this happening its not a positive thing.

    thats not what I said!!!

sums you up that you can't read even when highlighting something.

to spell it out for you...i feel its more important that everyone is able to express there opinion positive and negative then to have pro's on here.

the fans are the most important people on this forum. its nice when trainers and fighters come on here but there opinion is no more right or wrong than a fans and its more likely to be bias when talking about a gym mate.

As for how Frankies body looks? he isn't ripped but it is a fallacy to think that you can judge "fitness" on having a 6 pack. When commentators say things like "he looks in great condition" it is a pretty silly comment because you could be the fittest man in the world but if you consume more calories than you use up then you won't have a 6 pack.

That said when your fighting at the lighter weights excess fat, although it doesn't impede athletic perfromance (unless it is excessive), it doesn't help you in anyway either. It may give you a bit more cushioning when you take a body shot but it will most likely mean that you end up fighting a division or two above what you could be fighting at. The extra fat is useless weight, so ifyour fighting someone who is the same weight, but has far less body fat, then he obviously is going to have a lot more muscle or height than you- and this puts you at a disadvantage.

Carrying excess muscle will also deplete energy levels fast as your body struggles to supply them with oxygen. But you dont need big muscles to have a 6 pack, you just need to get your overall level of body fat to around 9-10%. If a weakling who never trained went to 7% body fat you would se a good six pack. Similarly I bet Chris Arreola and James Toney have cracking abdominal muscles, but they are just covered in layers of fat- so you cant see them.

    your opinion is wrong :good

This hasn't turned into a critical thread though has it - At least not in a boxing critique way ? haven't criticised the thread moreso the way it has gone
