"Haye has moved up and is making noises in the heavyweight division, but is still not really a top 10 fighter in that division. He is calling out Wladimir Klitschko, but will need to beat more than Monte Python, sorry Griffin, before he is considered a real talent."

I don't agree - i mean i know david haye has only had one fight at heavyweight, but i cannot think of 10 that are ahead of him at the moment.

And by the way McCrory, its Barrett not Griffin :patsch

This has nothing to do with the fact that Haye is on Setanta.......

One big plus in Setanta's favour is that they aren't frightened of plugging fighters which appear on other networks. Sky really **** me off - not just with boxing, but all sports. You would think that football was invented in 1992, and rugby league in 1996.

    Pathetic.

Not to mention that Haye would have left McCrory bent round a ring post if they had fought.

Every interview I see with Haye he admits that he has faults but counters that this is one of the reasons he is fun to watch. Why do people have such a problem with him ????

Barrett is a good , tough fight IMO

I like his attitude as well, in one interview he gave he said that he was booked in for a chin transplant next week and after the mormeck fight he said that he did not have the legs for cruiser any more (didn't stop him from beating enzo) - so i do like his honesty.

    Exactly !!

Folk go on about how arrogant he is and how he is this and that , when in fact if you actually listen to what he says he regularly sticks a bit of self depreciating humour in there. Do you ever hear Joe Calzaghe do that ?? ( not to be picking on Joe just chose him at random ).

Sure he got right up in Klitschkos face but c'mon he wants to fight the guy ( and from post fight interviews it looks like he has got his wish ) and although no one can argue that WK has skill and power he fights terrified , if i had to fight a guy like that i'd be in his face at every f**kin opportunity !

    Anyhoo........................

Haye has not fought anyone of note at heavy and no top 10 fighter. Barrett is a tough customer and a decent test but he is hardly a top 20 fighter. Hopefully after the fight Haye will justify the hype.

I just dont get all this hate for Haye Ive never really had any strong feelings either way for the guy, but recently the more he gets hated on the more I want him to succeed :yep

He has backed up everything he said was gonna do, bar his fight with Thompson... he has also up until thus far taken the most challenging route to achieve what he has in his 22 fights instead of taking the path of least resistance like so many british fighters,
So if he wants an easy-ish fight for his second fight at Heavyweight Imo he has earned it
though im pretty sure no matter who he got as an opponent people would of criticised him

I also dont get why there is such a problem in him calling out Wlad ok the way he did it was a bit **** so I could understand if that was the problem but its not its the fact he has fought "No-One" at heavyweight, But he is/was the No.1 cruiserweight held 3 of the 4 belts plus the Ring belt so he called out the No.1 in the division above which has happened a lot before so why the problem now......
Hatton did it with Mayweather, Pavlik wants Calzaghe etc etc so why is it a problem now maybe im missing something:huh :think

Haye is good to listen to. While I like Hatton and Calzaghe both bore me to tears, every Hatton interview now is a joke thats been said 100 times, how down to earth he is, "for the fans", "the referee robbed me". And Calzaghe is "Yeah I want to retire undefeated" bla bla bla. Haye interviews are interesting, he criticises himself and you get the feeling that whatever he says he actually means it. I like Listening to Carl Froch aswell.

McCrory is a complete bellend. He tipped De La Hoya to beat Mayweather and Cintron to beat Margarito in the rematch.

The heavyweight division is complete crap so McCrory's comment is completley superflous. Any heavy with a bit of speed, talent, and power is automatically a top ten heavy, regardless of previous achievement. Haye is strong in all those departments.

McCory has always had realistic opinions.

    Barrera to beat Naz

    stuff like that

I think the point he is making Haye is sounding off at the deep end and as of yet is a unproven heavyweight

Picking Cintron to beat Margarito was pretty silly - even more so in hindsight, but picking DLH to beat Floyd wasn't that outlandish.

Yes Haye is not a top 10 heavy. Oscar De La Hoya on the other hand is number 5 pound for pound. :huh
