McCullough: McCloskey needs to work on defence and power

He needs to dress up like Beyonce and chase his ass around the ring at the gym a few hundred rounds. That will get his defence pretty sharp. When Wayne goes Beyonce, you fokin' run.

 

its too late to "work on" anything, his defense has gotten worse by a large margin, its not like hes a young fighter with potential, hes a middle aged fighter with a style based on reflexes, and his reflexes are gone. he doesnt have an extra year or two to work on this or that.

 

Also if he learns footwork, ring craftsmanship and how to put his gloves on he could become ATG.

I love his defence, it's pure genius, block punches with your head.

 

He needs to go back to his corner shop - dude is domestic level.

McC needs to become more orthodox because his trickiness worked on Euro level. On world level he is getting ****ed up by average contenders like Corley and Prescott. Khan won every round. Tighten up his defence, get a jab going, rip the body and actually employ a strategy other than toughman.

 

A proper haircut couldn't hurt either!
