Nah Degale is the chief support. The Thai is experienced and I would need to see some footage and not just go by Boxrec to comment further. It`s good for Mcdonell but if he fights as poorly as he did in his last couple of fights he will be in trouble,

Yeah, the bloke shows the last two fights the Thai lad has had but not his whole record. The Thai is experienced and it could be a good fight. However some people will just look at Boxrec and make a judgement which is silly.I will need to see some footage to judge weather this guy will be a test. The guy has gone 12 rounds many times is a plus. This guy could be **** or he could be like that Argie who gave Coyle hell.

The guys had 52 fights is probably shop worn thats why they gave him a debutante and a guy with 0 -1 -0 in his last to fights. His opponents combined records is 722 - 394 - 90 draws. Why is McDonnell even getting a shot? Who the hell is abigal medina? 9-2-2? How is this even being allowed to go ahead?

Does Hearn now pick opponents for a vacant title shot?

Good for McDonnell, he deserves another shot after the farce with the IBF. For people complaining about the choice of opponent, it's a fight between the #2 and #3 in the WBA for the vacant belt, so it's not Hearns fault and besides, the guy has just 2 defeats in 54 fights so he won't be a pushover.

Is this a regular farce belt, if so than no this is not a world title fight, opponent isn't good enough either to deserve a world title.

Well none of us have seen this guy fight, so let's not judge he has a respectable record and has been some fairly good C/D contenders. This is the fourth main fight on the bill so I'm happy with that, could be a good little scrap the one thing about Thai boxers is they come to fight and are aggressive and don't have much quit in them so McDonnell will have to be on his guard and not underestimate this guy.
