Never seen ceja fight but have seen Mcdonnell on numerous occasions and he doesnt look what you would call world class but you never know. He may well rise to the occasion and grab the title. Certainly hope he does..

think mcdonnell does everything well without being exceptional in any one area. His record is european level but still off a good standard.

ceja from the little bit of clips iv seen off him looks solid enough and obviously his knockout ratio is immense. That said obviously who has he fought?

As an uneducated guess would expect ceja to take him out in five but if mcdonnell can get past the opening six and impose his decent work rate then who knows.

either way il be purchasing it on primetime and hope its a classic.

had a look at Ceja and he looks decent. Think he stops McDonnel in the middle rounds.

    how recent mate?

agree napa was trading 1/50 at end of 12th round on bet fair.vey surprise when result announced although in fairness mcdonnell has looked better since.

I've been a fan of Ceja's for a hot minute. Hopefully he takes McDonnell out in middle rounds.

Really tough task for McDonnell. There is something eerily 'young Canelo' about this chap. He's a good southpaw, sits back, fights in bursts and seems to really dig. But ultimately this is an acid test for both, both have fought pretty soft at a world level context.

McDonnel is alot taller than Ceja, perhaps faster aswell. Hopefully he'll box at range and come away with a pts verdict.

Ceja must have looked out of his hotel window this morning and thought "what the ****?". Its pretty grim folks, its overcoats and brollies all round.

I like the idea of Jamie winning this in Doncaster, but I really do have my doubts, I hope Im wrong....at least its not Santa Cruz

:D I meant the fighter Santa Cruz not the place

I am going tonight but for the first time ever I might just turn up for the main event, its absolutely banging it down with rain at the moment and I don't want to get pissed wet through for a less than stellar undercard

Yeah I figured you meant the fighter but I bet you wish you had weather like the place:yep

I wish you and the fighters a rain free evening. Is it windy too? I hope that ring stays dry in a worst case scenario.

Think the first time I saw McDonnell was against Edwards. He looked to be well winning the fight early, then tired in the later rounds. But early on was very impressive.Since then doesn't seem to have faded at all,and has been in some longish fights.Know nothing about Ceja, but he's only young and away from home.Unless the kid is a future great, which is always possible, can see Jamie excelling himself and snatching this.He seems to have improved in a similar way to Ricky Burns.Fingers crossed.
