You're talking shite. He was offered a career high pay day to rematch Lee several times. They also had arranged to fight in February but it looked like Lee was getting a shot at Martinez until HBO refused it. At this point Vera had signed to fight Mora and Lee said if he beats McEwan and can't get a title shot, he wants Vera and he believes Vera will be up for it this time. Lee has Vera's number but Vera didn't like who was calling.

 

McEwan UD!! Amatuer boxing and pro boxing are very different sports so this 17-6 win for lee about 20 years ago has no comparison to the fight next week. Neither of them has done anything of note in the careers so this is the time for them to step up and prove they deserve these big fights.

 

and rightfully so, getting beat off vera and then doing a disappearing act and fighting a bunch of can's doesn't warrant such a privilege. and dont make me laugh andy lee was hurt and was hanging on against a belghecham since then i dont think he's fought any1 better then that, veras at least level above belghecham, when he gets tagged again by vera, he'll be a deer caught in the lamps.
