McEwans a strange case. You'd think he would have a higher profile and a name trainer. He's come from the wildcard and fighting at a high level in America too ....... If he's happy and comfortable then good luck to him but i cant help but think that he could be working with Billy Nelson who's the best trainer in Scotland or any of the top trainers in Britain.
Think he was with Nelson for a bit but they fell out because Nelson didnt think he should take the Quillen fight.
His fight with Mc Quillian also fell on the same night Ricky fought Katsitas, but i did tell him it was the wrong fight at that time and i was right
This flew under the radar. :blood McEwan & Arthur splitting a bill, and getting no TV in Britain? :huh
Was at the fight, the boy was durable and tough, but Craig should have got him out of there. He kept looking for the Holywood head punch to impress his Edinburgh pals, if he went to the body even a little more he would have stoped the guy.The ring girls asses more than made up for this though.
Yeah it really is strange, and Kenny 'G' Anderson was involved aswell. Thought Primetime could have snapped it up.
Have to agree with you Billy, he had no business in the ring with 'Kid Chocolate' especially coming off a KO loss. Good to see Craig back and winning...Even if his opponent was nothing to write home about. Would like to see Hope defend his EBU title against Mcewan.
Craig Mcewan has some good fights potentially over here with Paul Smith Billy Joe Martin Murray and maybe even Mr Eubank JR in the future the middleweight divison is very exciting.
I know he isn't much loved on here, but how did AAA get on? Looking like he could still mix it up at a high level or is he best relegated to these non-televised club shows for the remainder of his campaign?
Still baffled btw that McEwan wasn't on TV over there. A pair of losses to top 10 middleweights (acquitting himself very well against Lee and seeming for a time to have it well in hand...) and now he's banished to the dungeons? :huh He's an exciting fighter in his prime and still top 15 in his division. I mean, fair enough, you can say Arthur's time is past and he's had his chances on the big stage - but surely it's a bit premature to toss McEwan in the refuse pile? 8 rounder seen by nobody but a few lowlanders? It isn't like he was brutally KTFO by Kid Chocolate and needs to be recover by being babied and nursed back to form. In fact it was a rather poor stoppage (although he was losing clearly).
