What do you guys think of mcgirt as a trainner. He's give some messed up advise and ruined a lot of fighters chances of winning. his training is **** and makes ****ed up decisions.

Personally i'm happy he pulled malignaggi out becuz i'm a hatton fan and it looks good on his record. But feel for malignaggi for getting pulled out becuz he fought to the end with a dismantled face against cotto, just so he could say "cotto couldnt stop me"

btw there is infact only one ricky hatton.

Throwing the towel last night was not a mistake if that is what you are implying.

It was actually Malignaggi's lawyer and his promoter DiBella that were telling McGirt to throw the towel in so more than one person in Paulie's corner had seen more than enough

Moreover. If Malignaggi continues and gets pounded to the final bell,he gets to look heroic and tough....Mcgirt Doesnt....he just looks like a bad cruel cornerman.
Why should Mcgirt let it go on just to make Malignaggi look like a warrior whilst others will be thinking how irresponsible heartless and dangerous he is as a coach.
Like people will go up to Buddy and say 'the way you gritted your teeth in the corner there and went the distance was real tough'...the way Paulie wanted it for himself.

He has always been a trainer who really cares about his fighters and stops fights because with him he already has in his mind after the first few rounds whether his fighters are winning or losing the fight.

Honestly, what the hell else is someone going to do with Paulie? Nobody is going to get him to use his right hand more, and nobody is going to give him power. Paulie has never been a guy who is happy just to be a slick boxer, he likes to try and mix it up, and he'll never be able to do that with strong and fast fighters who can take any sort of punch.

I like Paulie, I do, but we saw his limit last night. It wasn't his training limits, it was Paulie's limits. Buddy gave great advice last night, and Paulie didn't follow it.

Thats what annoys me when fighters moan at Ref's for stopping a fight when they are getting pounded...........Its great for the fighters rep to let the slaughter continue, but the Ref and cornermen just look like *******s.
I wouldnt get tarred with a terrible rep as a cruel sadist just so some fighter can continue to get beat up and feel like Jake LaMotta.

True!!! He needs a new coach. May be an acting coach, singing coach, or dancing coach. You can put God in his corner and he is not going to win with one hand.
Where was the right hand???? Where were the 5 or 6 punches combination??? More so, While Paulie Malignaggi insist on standing in front of stronger fighters and trade. In my opinion he should try to fight like Ivan Calderon fights. Paulie needs to understand he has no power. I really think Calderon has more power than Paulie(in his weight). If he doesn't understand that fact quickly, he might get hurt really bad. GOOD FOR McGIRT!!!! GREAT CALL!!!:happy
Paulie has a lot of heart!!! Now he only needs a little brain and a right hand.

Malignaggi was there for the money --- one million.
Be real, he didnt deserve the shot and had absolutely no chance in winning.
He held and grabbed and just wanted to go the distance, making for an ugly fight.
    He has nothing --- garbage.
