eh what ?, he deservedly beat Montiel and did shake him up a bit but destroy him he did not. As mentioned before, there is also the question of how much the insane amount of travelling Terrazas had to do took out of him.
I also felt Maludrottu deserved the decision against Munroe, but that was a very close fight which could have gone either way.

Munroe has achieved quite a lot in his career and should be credited for it, but it remains to be seen whether he is still at the top of his game or on the slide. The Quigg fight should help us find the answer.

As for the look on Barry's face when Frampton is in trouble, it could happen in the next few fights, or it could take till Frampton is a well established World title holder and taking on some of the best fighters p4p in the sport. In the 2nd of those scenarios I doubt most would really be able to take much pleasure from (although I'm sure you'd find a way).

 

Every time Barry opens his ****ing noisemaker these days you just know that within a few breaths framptons name will be mentioned.Not only that but he always manages to slip in a wee insult to another fighter.A know a manager's job is to tout his man but **** me this is getting beyond hype.Wouldn't surprise me to see barry bouncing about Ireland with spiked hair extensions,waving a couple of flags howling only in Ireland can you find the best thing since slice bread.

 

McGuigan is certainly emotionally involved in Frampton & is believing if he keeps saying it enough everyone will listen to the hype around him.

Good fighter could become very good but it will come down to how he copes when he himself comes under pressure & starts getting backed up.To be fair i think he boxed well last time out not exciting didn't blow anyone away with what he did but got the job done.The rounds under his belt won't have done him any harm either.

McGuigan has to back his man to the hilt but how many times in the past have we seen the scenario of the overhyped prospect coming unstuck at british let alone european or world level?The fact Barry is involved heavily with just the one fighter means he can't help but keep mentioning him & his son training him as well probably around the kid 24/7 in one way or another!

 

i understand mcguigan defending his charge in such a way, he is a great man and passionate about boxing.
today is a big aniversary for barry and i have started a thread in his defence.
