    Thats evolution for you.

I do agree though that heavyweight slobs aside elite boxers are fitter.

It always makes me laugh to see people say "Yeah, modern conditioning is better but boxers in the past were more determined". Based on...what, exactly? It's impossible to prove. I can prove that Rocky Marciano had a poor diet and his training regime was ineffective compared to modern regimes, but can you prove he was more determined? Of course not.

    Look how determined Rocky looks.

    Compare that with Vitali....

i think David Haye is the poster boy for using modern training techniques, being body beautiful but having no boxing fitness!

Haye's one of those nauseating people who would have a brilliant body even if he barely trained.

Some say Haye's stamina is bad but i'm looking forward to this fight cause I think him and Wlad have quality conditioning .Haye can sprint 100 metres 100 times in under 15 secs with a 30 second rest .Also Wlad as well isn't a big fan of roadwork I think 3 or 4 times a week .He likes to shadow box with weight's circling the ring and swimming .Here's an artcle on Haye

Training for Enzo Maccirinelli , Haye's coach Adam Booth decided to put him through a fitness test while in Miami .
It would consist of sprinting 100metres 100times , each time under 15 seconds and with a 30second recovery . Booth monitored Haye's heartrate throughout and after 80 sprints saw the boxers pulse registering 167bpm . This wasn't high enough ,so Booth reduced Haye's recovery to 15 seconds for the last 20 sprints . Haye completed them ,the last in 13.5 seconds . In total Haye effectively sprinted 10km , though with a total of 30 minutes rest , but it's still an incredible feat of athleticism and surely proves the world cruiserweight champion doesn't have a stamina problem as some have feared

I think some boxers just find running boring tbh man I do .I prefer conditioning drills man .Burpee's shadowboxing punchouts and bodyweight training etc .Sprints and hillsprints are although as long as they get your heartrate up .I prefer the treadmill with incline as well especially at the winter cause it's a pain in the a-- getting warmed up at the winter .I'd rather be indoors getting a good intense sweat on .
