Now we know why Mcguigan was insistent on an American referee. Jesus that guy was either inept or bribed, stopped counting at the amount of unpunished clinches Frampton got away with after it hit double figures.
It's hilarious how pre-fight, it was all of the Quigg supporters and Matchroom joy boys were claiming that it'd be Frampton's team who'd be making excuses today as they'd been apparently doing throughout the build up.
I'm a quigg fan and still think he could of won the fight he was just too cautious. No exscuses though frampton clearly won the fight
Behave yourself Quigg lost and lost large, it wasn't close. The only disgusting thing coming from any official last night was the judge who scored the fight to Quigg, yet you want to talk about the referee being "bribed"?
The ref isn't to blame for the result, I didn't think he was great, I thought the holding was excessive enough for at least a warning and when Quigg had him rocked he broke it up unnecessarily, however he didn't do anything badly enough to influence the fight, Quigg lost because he froze, simple as that.
The ref had some of the best footwork i've ever seen, he was bouncing around the ring like a ballet dancer.
Clinching did get silly, but not the worst i've seen by any stretch. Why did he interrupt the action when Quigg had Frampton hurt in the 11th ?
Quigg pushed down on Frampton's head. In fairness to Quigg, it did look like Carl was ducking low anyway.
