I agree Mosely deserved nothing from the round but that doesn't mean I change the rules of the sport to get the result I want. Some times boxing isn't fair, thats just part of sport in general.

In football do you give goals that are seen to be off-side in the replays but that the ref has given? Or do you disallow the goal and have a separate score....?

 

There aren't really any rules in boxing scoring though unfortunately. I see what you're saying anyway and you're probably right that's how it should be done. Just on my card, Manny won every including the tenth so 120-107 :deal

Surprised two of the judges didn't give Mosley at least a 10-9 for the round the 'knockdown' was called. I'd go with the official refs decision.

The first two undercard fights last night were poor, then Vazquez-Arce was great and all the entrances and build up to the main event were great. The fight itself was disappointing - Mosley's done and has being for a while.

Pissed off with Sky for not showing the post-fight interview as they thought it would be better to go back to the studio and hear some ramblings before ending the broadcast :huh. And Watt kept talking over the trainers in the corner between rounds :fire.

Arum is now saying it's Marquez, Bradley or Judah in November. If Floyd still wants to not give a shite then Marquez or Bradley would be fine. Does Floyd seriously think Manny is 'on' anything? . I hope last night was a realisation for him that this is a winnable fight and he could take Pac.

 

Hopefully Mosley pisses off for good now. He's been a bore - bar the Margarito fight - since 2003.

 

mosley is annoying now because he has just enough left to be dangerous so stops his opponents going gung ho and just unloading on him, but he doesnt have enough left to make it a competitive fight

Yeah i mean the odd now and then and the emotional hug as you enter the 12th of a war i can respect but constant touching of gloves and hugging and back patting pisses me off. Mosley against Mayweather at one point took time out during fight to talk to him. Floyd pinged him rightfully so. Very stupid from a veteran fighter...way to friendly for my liking. The Margarito fight he was a animal.

 

I'm not sure. He only made Manny look tentative because a) Manny seemed content to box safe, b) Mosley didn't attack after giving Pac problems. It was an appallingly negative performance.

Floyd won't do a damn thing if he has the same tactics. he'll need to step to Manny when he opens up early on if he's going to take the fight. And Floyd doesn't like to do that ever.

 

Ye, it showed last night that even when in first gear, Manny can still win against an ultra-negative fighter with ease.
