I see this being a easy points victory for Mcintyre, brooke's been very inactive for a few years and never been past 8, dont really see why he's getting a shot at the british anyway.

Brook was made mandatry when Thompson pulled out of an eliminator with the flu I think.

That Steve Wood guy knows the details better.

So this has been added to the undercard of Arthur v Guzman on May 3rd....

Kell brook was installed as mandatory challenger for the Title when Mark Thompson was pulled out of their final eliminator around December.

Big opportunity missed there for Thompson - shame as I'd like to see him do well.

It's only Kell Brook though, not one of his bigger stars.

Thought you'd like to see a fellow Yorkshireman have a crack at the title.

Do you think Sports Network fighters should be banned from competing for a title? If so which promoter do you want to see getting their fighters a title shot?

SN's Kevin Mitchell recently won the British Title against Carl Johanneson.

It's a hint of sarcasm - I think it's great that Sports Network fighters are going for British titles instead of the interalphabetty titles!

Good to see some good Yorkshire fighters at the moment, guys like Clinton Woods etc, but we are still way behind the Lancastrians in terms of producing top fighters, and football teams for that matter.

Good job our cricket team has won the championship a few times since 1934!

Well said BB. Although I live in Liverpool now I'm Yorkshire born and bred and will always be a Tyke at heart. Being a Steel City man I am always keen to follow the progress of our sportsman in whatever field.

I think this could be a very interesting fight. McIntyre is doing well at the moment but Brook is a fine fighter. I do not think Brook is ready for this quite yet so I expect McIntyre to win by UD.

The bill shaping up well then I guess?

If Brook loses as you suggest that will be yet another Sports Network fighter to add to their recent poor run of results.
