panama al brown was a bantam and fought at feather edit: of course he was 6ft or very shy of it....you try to tell a 5'4 bantam that your opponant might be 5'11 or 6'0 like it would matter.
A 6 foot featherweight? Me (if I was a boxer) about 2 years ago. Could probably make the weight now if given a few months notice. True story.
How about Kris Hughes (the guy who fought Frampton the other week) he was nigh on 6' and fighting at 122.

Be fair Smith seems to think 11 fights is the time to start fighting 8 rounders (he didn't fight his first until his 16th fight, when he faced the 6-15-3 Conroy McIntosh)...he also thinks this is a "good fight" (I can't remember his description but he seemed to try and make out it was a good stepping stone fight)...with an 11-0, 4 guy fighting a 3-3, 2 guy...
