    Foound this on the G Man.

    Bit sad how boxing has let him down.

    Every fighter entering the ring potentially can leave it in this state or worse, so just because you dont agree with a fighters opinion or his ego or anything else bothers you about them at least Please respect the fact that the sport they call a career which they do too entertain you is a cold hard potential killer.

    I remember that. Hasn't been anything on him that I knew of since. I have all the G-Man fights I can, one of my favorites...

    Amazing talent massive ego but true warrior in the ring. I know that the uk have had a few nights in memory of him and too raise funds for him, but not a lot goes on for the unfortunate victims of boxing. His never say die attitude unfortunatley cost him his health but I can honestly say I will forever remember this ballsy bast*rd. Nice of Roy Jones too give him funds also interesting that he beat Roy in the amateur ranks. Rewatching the Benn fight is truly an amazing battle but all the time I cant help but think that poor guy will never be the same after this fight.

    Its hard too watch theres a bit on Roy Jones Junior saying he wouldn't visit him until hes retired because if he see's someone he knows so well from amateur days in that condition then he could never fight again.

    it was a great fight that is sadly ignored because of the tragic aftermath.

    That is one of the standout memories of my teens, I remember at the time, people just expected McLellan to KO Benn quickly, he knocked him out the ropes in the 1st round and Benn came back to win but at a big cost.

    After the fight, Benn made a comment about not caring if G-Man was hurt because "he had brought over to destroy him" but he never imagined just how hurt he was. Benn was never the same fighter after that night.

    Regardless of how you feel about G-Man's personal indiscretions, he has a family who is now left to pick up the pieces. It's unfortunate the way this entire thing turned out...but the most frustrating this isn't the end result as much as it's the fact that there are numerous people who came out and said they noticed problems with McLellan before the fight (Manny Steward and Julian Jackson are just the two off the top of my head). It's impossible to say whether or not this could've been avoided...but it's disappointing to know that people SAW an issue with G-Man and nobody apparently advanced on it. Just a sad ordeal all around.

    seriously...lots of people seem to turn in to an animal rights activist when his name is brought up and then celebrate his condition because of his past activities. they need to get over it.
