Mcraacken has come out with some bull after the fight but he will support his fighter regardless, i get that, i dont agree but its business and it happens. His quality as a trainer however cannot be judged onn these comments alone. The guy has done So much for british boxing and i dont think younger people will understand how far on he has brought our amateur game. I dont think Froch would have got as far without him, despite his chin and heart
I can't believe this guy...Billy Nelson is a well known boxing trainer. And you've just slagged him right to his face. Right to his face on an Internet forum! I can't work out whether its bravery or stupidity! You're a maniac man :thumbsup what a badass
There some right mongs on this forum mainly froch idolisers Point is. Rob McCracken hasn't taught froch an awful lot, e fights face first and hasn't even mastered the basics Get off his ****. I'm talking world class level here not amateurs....
Frochs recovery came from his condiitoning, staying healthy and fit year round. He does work on it, constantly.
World Amateur medallist and multiple time world champion, forget that we're talking about Carl Froch here, good luck walking up to anybody with those credentials and saying they cant box, you just don't get that far with heart alone mate, if so, Oisin ***an would be a world champion Rob McCracken trainer of the very successful Olympic team, yeah, must be a really **** trainer
Technically Froch is the worst fighter I have seen chin down and he just wades in throwing punches from his hip. But he is so bloody effective completely a different fighter from when he was a amateur .
http://www1.skysports.com/rugby-uni...h-but-highlights-lack-of-defence-as-main-flaw Froch is a freak of nature. And so say all of us.....
McCracken is a good trainer. Froch fights in a style you wouldn't teach a kid to box in but he gets the job done that way. If you actually watch froch on the pads he does have the basics down unlike some have suggested, it just that when he gets in the ring he likes to go to war, that's got nothing to do with McCracken as a trainer. Look at the Abraham fight, that's down to good tactics by McCracken, 90% of the time froch doesn't need to do that to win though.
Does Froch , carry his left hand low ,, Yep Does he square himself up too much ,,, yep Does he punch with his arms ,,, yep Does he make a lot of mistakes and box wrong , according to the way we all think Yep Is he a 4 time world champ , Britsh champ ,, Aba champ , ect ect , yep , so is he right in what he does YEP ,, Why is he right ,,, Cos it works for him ,, What else does he do ,, Well has shown the other night , he slips and rides punches very well , Even with his clumsy feet , he manages to cut the ring off , he hits hard even when he does'nt give himself room , and He has mastered the art of feinting a punch . plus his chin plus his stamina plus his heart , plus his will to win , ect ect ect . Is Mckracken a bad coach for allowing him to box this way NO Why ,,,, because he did'nt change a winning formula , just because its not mainstream ,, Who else does that ,, Only good coaches . Name others who made a lot of basic mistakes ,and done it all wrong ,, Erm , Hamed ,, ,, Benn threw from the hips ,, Roy Jones used to carry his hands low , Joe calagzie , slapped a lot . theres just a couple . A good coach allows his boxer to develop his own style and work on that , otherwise , you have a gym full of robots , who cannot think for themselves .
