You can tweak a experienced fighters style, small technical things. Box to your strengths be aware of your weaknesses, but above all fight to a plan you as a fighter and your trainer are both agreeable with providing you keep getting results. McCracken to be called a poor trainer...laughable.The fighter trainer relationship is about trust in each other which both have.
McCracken has proven himself to be a very very good trainer. If he was a yank, people would be singing his praises. Would like to see him building his stable.
Its in him GB contract he cant take on any pro boxers he was allowed to carry on working with carl but until his contract is up its just carl and team GB. iv watched him up close work with fighters and he is very very good
Good question , but perhaps its because he does'nt want them . he would be very busy and no doubt well paid , in the Ameteur coaching job ,, Then throw in Froch , he may just be too busy , and he would off made millions from Froch over the years , along with his good salary , so money may not be a motivation either . But i'm only guessing i would'nt know
Seeing how ‘rubbish, chinless, heartless and robotic’ AJ is viewed across these boards, you’ve got to say McCracken has seriously overachieved in producing an Olympic gold medalists and 2 x unified heavyweight champion of the world.. must be the ultimate turd polisher in boxing.
