This is me, 34 and fat, old, and broke down... Not really looking for critique or advice, as I'm not planning on competing or setting the world on fire... Just some fun sparring with an old buddy who I used to spar, but over the years, I've gotten better while he did other things... He was a good sport, and I took it easy to say the least, but it may still be worth a look. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqQD0KZBU_E[/ame]
i liked the way you didnt say your training to become a boxer and you also didnt mention that for one reason or another you cant go to a boxing gym at the moment, good honesty right there another plus is the video isnt shot in your bedroom, btw which one is you both guys look fat old and broke down
Yeah I'm the one in the white t-shirt, my buddy is the one who looked worse... It's all for fun. Nobody was trying to prove anything... He did want another shot later, because he felt he did so poorly, so next time he was more aggressive, but the result was more of the same...
**** got serious at 7:30. When did you start boxing? For a 34yr old who seems not very serious about training you look decent.
I started boxing at 22, but never had the discipline or mentality to do anything other than give certain amateurs and professionals decent workouts and alot of target practice... So 12 years I've been casually training. I appreciate the props, and I do it because I can't stand lifting weights and do it as mainly an outlet. And I know I'm not bad at all; everyone has bad habits and could be picked apart- that's why I made the disclaimer in the opening post about critiques... I won't change anything at this point because there's no need. I'll post the little rematch where he's a little more motivated to land some punches...
Here's the "rematch" not long after... As you can see, no serious punches are thrown, and I'm trying to let him work a little. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NPK21yO5Lo[/ame]
is that your house? I keep telling my wife i am getting a ring for our house, but she insists on me keeping my boxing at the gym ahahah
Yeah its my house. My wife let me have the garage. That's the point; I obviously could have embarassed him, but kept it cool and let him work a bit. It was a friendly spar, no place for egos.
