Pretty good diet, when I cut from 13 stone to 11 stone in 3 months my diet was nearly the EXACT same as yours.

However I didn't eat bread or peanut butter, bread is heavy in the stomach, I stuck with porridge (with water) and an apple.

Lunch time I would eat vegetables with cottage cheese and chicken. Again I didn't like bread... if I was training that evening Id have some pasta.

Post workout you want to eat protein and sugar, i.e. a yoghurt.

If you are not trying to loose weight ignore my bread comments :)

I'd recommend getting some whey protein to help supplement some extra protein.

As far as your timing goes, I would suggest that you not leave such a gap between ur noon meal and 6pm meal. Maximum of 3 hours between meals is suggested, so as to keep your body fueled with nutrients and to keep your metabolism high.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I currently weigh 13 stone, however I am 6'1 and dont really have much excess fat so I wouldnt be looking to drop weight, so yes perhaps I should keep the bread in?

Okay Yes A 6 hour gap between meals is too long, I will think about that.

A yoghurt after a workout sounds good. I havent used any protein supplements before but see alot of people at the gym using them after a workout, I will look up on the forum about them as no doubt it has been discussed in detail before.

Also i would suggest having more than just a bannana after you cario, as your doing anarobic you will be burning off all the morning calories you just took in.. i suggest a little more than a bannana after it otherwise you could find you BS levels low and your body wanting to snack on **** to raise it again...

Maybe having 2 bannanas or some dried fruit with the one, or even maybe a couple of wholegrain biscuits...

Indeed. If anything I'd say he should add a multivitamin / mineral, perhaps some flaxseed oil. He should also eat some fish every now and then. The toast and sandwich could be replaced with more fruits and veggies. He could add some nuts and seeds. No diet is perfect I guess.

Thanks for all the feedback after trying the diet for a while:

First of yes just having a bannana after left me hungry and then I would grab whatever was at hand (usually something bad) So I am just having another bowl of porridge after too (I am not really worried about my weight, if anything I could bulk up a few lbs)

Will try and get more fruit and veg into my diet, a sandwich is just the easier option.

are nuts a good post workout snack?

also how often do you guys 'cheat' I read a book and it said if you eat right 80% of the time this is good, I rarely eat anything bad, do you sometimes think you worry about your diet too much?
