His original promoters went under, then he got matched up with Matirosyn on the NY Stadium card where he lost a clear decision, and per his father has struggled with confidence since. To his defense I really don't think he was prepared for the Matirosyn fight and he was more less thrown into it, he looked flat during the fight. Sad, he looked something special, good blend of speed and skill, great size for a JMW or even MW where he started at. I don't know why someone big hasn't picked him up. He's still young enough to rebuild back into a decent contender or even a star. Dibella would've been great for Joe's career, though there maybe other factors behind the scenes that I'm not aware of.
