you are nuts divac. You posted 25 times in another thread discussing the exact same videos! That's what happens when you just spew hate just for the sake of hate itself... you don't even know the topic. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9014812 you're probably the guy with the most posts in the thread
What do you know....... I posted in that thread, but I got into it on the 6th page. I never bothered to click on the first page and read the thread starters post.....which means I never clicked on to watch those "measuring Manny videos." The current thread here is the first time I've watched those videos. That link you posted went 16 pages and after the first page or two, the subject never focused on the actual content of those videos. 16 pages long and no one in the thread could counter anything that the analyst in those videos brought to focus, and that includes you PH|LLA. Those with the current notion that Pacquiao is an improved and changed fighter since that Marquez rematch.......those two videos "measuring Manny" show otherwise. Those videos show that the current Pacquiao still fights with the same movement, angles, and shot repertoire that he did vs Marquez. ......and hear me out PH|LLA, thats exellent. Watching those "measuring Manny" videos magnifies that not only Marquez is providing in and out side to side movement, but so is Pacquiao. Pacquiao is'nt an easy target now, as he was'nt in that Marquez rematch. ......the reason Marquez tags Pacquiao so much in their rematch in comparison to the welter fighters Pacquiao has faced is timing, shot repertoire, and just plain know how. Marquez is eons above the skill level that any fighter Pacquiao has faced at Welter......and thats not a knock on Pacquiao, thats a knock on the current welterweight divsion. The bottom line with me in this thread is to say as the analyst in those videos that the so called technical improvement between the Marquez rematch and now for Pacquiao is'nt what its made out to be. If anything the case can be made that Pacquiao physically improved, but technically, those "measuring Manny" videos show Pacquiao is still the same technical fighter from the Marquez rematch to today. The videos dont lie and that analyst backed up his claim with video sequence evidence. He did a wonderful job of showing us that.
First off, i'm not trying to make this a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao discussion as most threads seem to be. Second, that's not me in breaking down the videos. And finally, I agree with most of us who feel Pacquiao has definitely improved. The point of the video is to point out that his improvements have not been as big or as dramatic as the media has made it to be. It also points out that we can't fully gauge how much pacquiao has changed since his latest fighters have not pushed him to the edge where he has shown new adaptations.
Well lets take a look at your statement. Marquez gets dropped 3 times the very first round he fights vs Pacquiao. Thats understandable.....Pacquiao is a dynamic, explosive type of fighter that it can take a few rounds to get acclamted to and figure out. Pacquiao angles in and contorts his body in odd angles, its easy to see how a fighter not accustomed to seeing that can be thrown out of whack. ........Thats the first round ever now that Marquez faced Pacquiao. How many times did Marquez go down the next 23 rounds he faced Pacquiao????? Go ahead you can say it, one time. Yet the Pac fan wants to paint a picture that Pacquiao is dropping Marquez every few rounds. It not suprising that an aggressive pocket counterpuncher like Marquez would get dropped by a contortionist physical freak like Pacquiao the first round he ever faced him. .......but stop acting like Pacquiao was dropping Marquez at will after that initial round. Count them, Marquez went down 1 time the last 23 rounds he fought Pacquiao!deal:deal
atsch Are you ****ing kidding me? Why did'nt Lewis knock Holyfield down? Why did'nt Pernell Whitaker knockdown Chavez? Why did'nt Calzaghe knock down Lacy? The domination was at such a height why did'nt Pacquiao his ****ing self knock down Margarito??? Are you a ****ing clown? You're totally changing the subject and running off in a tangent that has no baring on the point I made to you.atsch
Movement and not wanting to engage (aka running) will trouble Pacquiao but it doesn't guarantee that the opponent will win the fight. He still has to engaged at some point and it might be too risky and costly.
I don't get the point of this thread. Say you are correct, say Manny really is f*cked up technically, say he made absolutely no improvements to his game since Pac-JMM 2. Are you saying that JMM would give him hell, come November? Or let me make it easier for you since that question would've probably sent you in defense mode: 1. Do you think JMM will have more success with Pac than Cotto? How so? 2. Do you think JMM will hit Pac more than Margarito? How so? 3. Do you think JMM will be able to go the distance covering up (Clottey) or running away (Mosley) against Pac? Basic questions divac. No need to go all nuthugging to answer those. Because to be honest, you're sounding like a kid defending the imminent death of his idol. You used to say a lot of nonsense saying JMM was robbed for not having been given "the trilogy he deserves for f*cking Pac twice" and that team Pac is running away from him because they know all too well that JMM is a nightmare for Pac. But now it appears that you are setting up the red carpet and making up all these excuses so that when JMM gets brutalized by Pac on November, you will still be able to post here. Man up, grow a pair, and f*cking choose a side. Which one is it? JMM too skilled and will give Pac hell, or are you accepting that there's no way in hell that JMM will give Pac an inkling of a good fight come November? Choose your words well.
not interested. marquez is wayy over his league at 144lbs.. i want to see the best jmm.. this next fight is going to look like the morales trilogy, no match
You're misunderstanding, who is saying Pacquiao's ****ed up technically? The point in those videos was'nt to say that Pacquiao does'nt have technical skills. Clearly the videos are pointing to the fact that those skills were already with Pacquiao in the Marquez rematch. Let me make this clear......the Pacquiao that fought from the 2nd Morales fight to present is basically the same Pacquiao from a technical skillset point of view. Thats not knocking Pacquiao. You *******s have been so eager in the arguing that Pacquiao is a changed fighter since he lost to Marquez. The video pieces clearly shoot down that theory. .....however that video is'nt saying that Pacquiao does'nt have skill, its saying those same skills were already there in the Marquez rematch. The videos clearly show the evidence that indeed thats true.
Everybody is missing the point that Pac now has a powerful right hand. Yes, Pac started to have it since the Morales fight but he never had the confidence throwing it not until the Diaz fight. His right hand today will make all the difference. Marquez will not be watching only half a picture frame but the whole frame. Pac still has the 1-2 right-left combo that he used a lot against Marquez in his first fight. He also used that a lot against Mosley. But what is not given more attention is his now powerful right that is thrown in great confidence.
Yup, Pac has improved that right hand punch, where before you will never see Pac KD people with a single right hook punch.
You dont think Marquez can counter that right hand? One of the things that Pacquiao did by not relying on throwing that right hand, is to use it to defend incoming against the jab and left hook. He's going to have to sacrifice some defense against as skilled a counterpuncher like Marquez when he uses that right hand to punch. Marquez is too good a counterpuncher not to take advantage of Pacquiao when he's unleaching that right with power and leverage. The way Marquez has countered that left hand of Pacquiao's by shooting a right hand right over it, he will also counter Pacquiao's right hook by shooting a left hook of his own right under Pacquiao's right hook. This is what Marquez wants. The more variables Pacquiao is willing to exhibit, the more that benefits the thinking fighter who can make the adjustments and figure out the other is doing right in the midst of the punching sequences. You just watch what happens to Pacquiao on the counter when he shoots that right hook. I dont know if some of you *******s noticed, but in both of their fights, Pacquiao did'nt like it when Marquez went to the body.....and thats exactly what Pacquiao is going to expose when he shoots that right hook of his.:yep Silly *******s, they have'nt a clue that Pacquiao against a good thinking counterpuncher will have to pay for throwing that right hook of his.
