I have never boxed, sure. Most fans haven't.

I haven't said: "I don't care about the fighters health". I have just said you need medical evidence and not mere opinion.

If you start throwing insults over that...

No offence fella but read my post below yours. Your point is mute as it goes against the rules (which are set up to protect the boxers from themselves as well as others).

The rules would just tell you what should be done on the night by the ref. But a rule existing isn't its own justification.

Not being able to see shots = potential brain damage

That's like me, when the trainer said duck I thought I was about to go for a meal.

I was like 'where'? I can't see it?

Also you're depth perception is fully hampered- close one eye and try to play a sport, you'll notice a massive difference

Just looking at the pictures afterwards made me feel sick, his eye was like a cricket ball. I've watched surgery and seen pictures of people as their legs were breaking or with legs blown off, I've even seen videos of people being beheaded and none had any effect on me, but Lebedev's eye was horrible.

Just think of the pressure it was putting on his eye! That isn't safe and could have been very dangerous, somebody bookmark this for the end of year dumbest thread
