Buster Douglas, James Braddock, Jess Willard, L Spinks, and Pete Rademacher. Yep, These are the guys I have on my Anti Tyson boxing sqaud. I know outside of Jess Willard, They be ko in a few rounds lol. But than again, I mostly pulling for Douglas to pull it off again, and Willard upsetting Tyson. L Spinks "Might" show up determind as he was vs Ali 1, and since Pete drop Patterson, before he was ko, He might have some fireworks before Tyson blows him out of there.

    I picked McCall, too.

According to the new book "The Last Great Fight", McCall dropped Tyson with a body shot in sparring during prep for the Douglas/Tyson fight.

Ray Mercer perhaps. He was mediocre, a good fighter but not a great one like his contemporaries. He has an alright chance.

Did you actually see Tyson vs Douglas or did you just hear some guys talking about the fight.

Douglas fought nothing like either Lyle or Tua and when he was on was actually a vastly more talented fighter then either of them.

Both Lyle and Tua lose decisions while catching a beating they have neither the style nor the defensive abilities to beat Tyson.

I believe I gave Tua little more than a punchers chance...And i would argue that Douglas was more talented than Lyle???? Obviosly no one in your mind could beat Tyson, so why are you even ingaging in this thread???

Yes Douglas at his best was a better boxer and more talented fighter then Lyle.

And i did'nt say nobody beats Tyson i said that guys that have nothing going for them except toughness and punching power are not going to beat Tyson.

That is why it is a challenge. Find a mediocre fighter you think has the best chance of beating Mike Tyson.

Nicolay Valuev would give a prime Tyson serious problems. Not that I think Valuev is terribly good (his jab is ... well... ok), but his sheer size would absolutely intimidate Tyson.

If Valuev could withstand three rounds of Tyson fury (not guarantee by any means), I'd say Valuev would have a good chance of winning a late-stoppage.

The reason I say this is- Tyson never lost a decision as a professional. He never actually went the distance in losing effort. If someone beats Tyson, they stop him.

Bit of a way out pick but what about Arturo Godoy.

He might just clinch and crouch his way to a spoiling SD win if he didnt get DQd.

I agree, the boxing master-class Douglas put on against Tyson is not going to be repeated by many fighter, certainly not the likes of tough but 1-dimensional guys David Tua and Ray Mercer.

1990 Tyson would not lose to any mediocre fighters for the reasons just stated. As he can only get beaten by a sustained pulverising, not a single lucky shot, he is safe from this kind of embarassment.
