Medina claims to have thrown the JML fight

It's obvious Medina either threw the fight or didn't want to fight.

Juanma is great, but Medina went down on nothing...

 

this guy dint wanna be in there with JML, he wanted out. after the shitstorm he got for quieting, now his making excuses. he fukked up his career and now his doing whatever to fix it, to get what credibility he had back.

 

If he didn't want to fight why did he sign, why not just duck Lopez altogether?

IF we are going with the gambling angle, THEN it makes sense if Juan Ma's people bet on him at various ONLINE websites. Hence, the death threat. I don't think this is the case, but where in the world did I say internet gambling websites came together and told sergion medina they would kill him? I never came CLOSE to saying that. Ok, even if the odds were -1000 for a first round KO, if YOU KNOW 100000 percent that his opponent is going down what would keep you from throwing money on him? if i was -10000000000000000000000 percent but it was 100 percent sure he was going down you could make money from this. I can't see why some people don't understand this? People say why would one bettor do this, it would clearly be an entire group of people spreading it around various websites, bookies, vegas joints, etc. etc. I'm sure the odds were a lot better thatn -1000 for a first round KO too.

Clearly Medina took a dive, he never got hit cleanly.
Poor Juanma, he never had any idea this might happen.

 

Medina has just admitted that he made the entire story up. There's an article on it at the site where boxing is always on the scene.

 

This is a black eye to the sport.

Don't blame Medina, his life may have very well been threatened.
