A thread for generel discussion about meditation.

Have it helped with your given sport? Have you benefitted from it?

I'll begin on a 8 week "program" (for lack of better word). I'll report back.

A link if you want to read about it: http://franticworld.com/

Meditation should be done by everyone imo. It will help anything you do, sport or otherwise. Anything that trains you to be in the zone/moment and guided by logic instead of biased emotion is going to lead you to be more able control yourself and your environment. It promotes everything that is the opposite of fear.

Been doing it for years, love my trips round the Universe. out of of all the Armys that do it, Israels were the 1st. Not the best way to implement it. I use the TM technique, but Im sure the others are good too.

    Interesting thread.
I always thought that pumping yourself up was the best way to get ready for a fight, now i'm not sure.

Its a waste of energy, been working on a theme the last 16 years, Im sure everyone thought I had lost it :D. Had lots of evidence, all anecdotal, so we Tested it at university 4 years of Testing. All the results were positive, what I thought on Stress was true. It stops the Body performing, theres other ways :D.

I don't dedicate as much time to it as I should but when I'm in my car and certain situations I try to be mindful so I guess I meditate regularly in that sense.
