I'm very much looking forward to this one. These two might be old and irrelevant on the global stage now but they come to fight and it will be entertaining. The more I think about it, the more i favour Meehan. Meehan main advantages: Size Strength (in the clinch I have no doubt Meehan will be stronger, Greeny was out muscling him ffs, gym strength may be a different story) Skill (hit and don't get hit, sometimes Cameron prefer's to block with his head LOL) Physical Durability (Both chin's are similar IMO, but Cameron is well known for cutting and his frail hands, I know Cameron will get cut he always does but Kali's big head is going to hurt his hands as well) Cameron main advantages: Age (obvious) Speed (Arguable I suppose) Endurance (Cameron is a good trainer very disciplined) I read somewhere Meehan has travelled the world throughout his career and also challenged for a World title but his biggest ever pay day was his last one in his birth city the Super 8 victory. Kind of interesting if you ask me. Cameron has had at least two paydays that were bigger than Kali's biggest which surprises me a little bit (actually much bigger pay days Tua vs Cameron= 500k+, Super 8 victory=200k).
Should be a good sc.rap. Will be hard to pick the outcome as both fighters are reasonable unpredictable at this age. Cameron can be lack lustre one fight then come back like he is in his 20's in the next fight. Cameron always seems much stronger at heavyweight but he gasses much quicker. The majority of his losses come from being beaten up while exhausted. If Meehan can accumulate enough pressure on Cameron and tie him up plenty (like Green did) then I can see him getting the result. I will be cheering for Shane though. Hell of bloke.
I'm expecting Meehan to win this one... Could see him fading late and getting stopped though. Winner should face Browne.
Going to this one 2moro ,looking forward to it and favor meehan to win, but its a 50 50 thing i reckon.
I keep laughing at myself for being more excited about this one than nearly anything else this weekend.
It's the heavyweight division, s****s like this are always going to be entertaining even if they really don't matter in the scheme of things. I'm looking forward to it myself. :good
Main event & main support are sanctioned title bouts. Undercard is cruiserweight tournament - last man standing out of 8 http://boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=699182 Winner will also score WBA Oceania belt http://wbaoceania.com/
How many hours until this one starts? I'm in America(East Coast) Assuming the card will be starting in 6-7 hours? :think
Wouldn't be a step down from the kind of opposition he's faced, and it would be fireworks while it lasted. Why not???? Browne is really only domestic-fringe contender at best anyways. His best chance at securing a title shot is to just stay busy until he reaches 30-0, and eventually he gets chosen as a voluntary. I like Browne, but the guy obviously has about reached his ceiling.
