Apparently Ahunanya agreed to fight Hoppa and is still waiting for an answer regarding whether or not Hoppa had signed on. Begining to get an idea about why the Hoppa - Meehan fight isn't going ahead...
Ahunanya vs Hoppa would be a great fight, Hopoate would get a thorough beating.Sorry I just dont like stinkfinger at all and his career of sporting crimes lol
Interestingly, BoxRec have Welliver listed to fight Ray Ochieng in Kenya for vacant WPBF title, 7th November.
Me thinks that why Hoppa didn't sign on to this fight... Had an email from David Higgins of Duco - he's finding it very difficult to find a match for Ahunanya and it doesn't look like he'll be on the card. But he did make a somewhat cryptic comment about liking the idea of matching Friday against Tua or Cameron in the future...
Ahunanya is a pretty decent heavyweight going on Shane Cameron fight, apparently hes been sparring partner to half the top guys but he should really be trying to beat some of them for money as well, he is durable and strong and could beat 1 or 2 of those fringe top20 pretenders. He doesnt really belong down here as hes already knocked out our best heavyweight (not counting Tua of course) but maybe the money is better.
Any word on who Hopoate will fight on Oct 3rd. Heard that Chauncy was scheduled to fight him, but Hoppa needs to sign the contract. Any word on Meehan?
Your grapevine is wrong. Kali thing was never really going to happen not yet anyway. Hop would fight King Kong but it isnt time yet. He got F all against McCall and it was an opportunity. Lots of things went wrong before hand but thats boxing. He went to Vegas and gave it a go. If he got a shot like that again he will not leave it in the gym this time, he gained alot of experience with the loss and by spariing Brewsters and co. He will sign contract in the next day or so to fight 8 rounds on the Cameron v Tua card. If all goes ok he will again back up in December to finish the year. He was going to fight Kelvis Davis but it couldnt be made. Anyway i believe once the contracts are signed in will be in the paper on Sunday. Hop has been sparring Sol and Peachy and co refining and developing his skills. I hope you see a slightly different version of Hop next time around but he'l always have that punch and killer instinct. That just him. Regards Dino Billinghurst
Well its Sunday.....I cant be This content is protected *&# going down the shop to get the paper.....come on Dino....let the cat out of the bag
