pavlik will have to do it the hard way now, he will be on fox sports in his next fight for pretty small money. he better get ready for $50 000 type of pay days. he will need to prove himself to the likes of HBO and Showtimes.

 

Some of you guys seem to have little understanding of how a boxing promotion works! All this "proving" himself isn't realistic at all. All KP has to do is knock out a couple guys on TV, and he'll be right back in the money.

Claiming the loss to Hopkins ruined him is just stupid. A mere 4 months later he was back in the ring beating the **** out of the #1 contender, and having a blast doing it. It was after that that things went to **** starting with the staph infection.

I have have little faith in a Pavlik come back, but the change of trainers and scenery is probably a good sign.

The idea that Pavlik can't compete at 168 is nonsense. A focused and determined Kelly Pavlik is one of the most dangerous fighters on the planet. Getting the focus and determination back is what gives me doubts. If he's serious he'll be right back on top by the end of 2012. If he's not serious we'll know right away.
