I just did a poll a couple days ago on 'pacquiao vs pryor' ... got some good feed back (go vote if u haven't) ... so it made me think what fights would id love to see on fighters with similar style ... this is another can't miss for me ..

both had some crazy combos .. hands speed I think leans towards meldrick and not by much ... power goes to Shane by a wider margin ... underrated defense for both fighters but both can get tagged a bit ... both mens stamina were amazing

So .. this fight is at 140 .. (I know shane has never fought @ 140 but comsidering he jumped 2 weight classes around that time ... I don't think 140 would've been a problem 4 shane) ... who do u have it for? And why?

Taylor but only because Shane wasnt the prime version that he became in 2009-2010 when he destroyed iron chinned Margarito, Pac openly admitted to ducking him and Money Mayweather gave him a boxing lesson, proving he is the greatest fighter of this era.

...What? Come on, you're ****ing with us, right?

Mosley cracked the code to Margarito's chin, doesn't mean he was in his prime.

I respect your choice .. but there's no way shane was in his prime @ anytime after forrest ... shane wasn't the same after the 1st forrest fight ... was shane a good fighter? Absolutely but his absolute best was lightweight shane ... power, speed, combo, and his jab mattered ... I think margo was his best win ... but that's because of the cons going into the bout ... he was a very big underdog .. and he was fighting the welterweight champ 1 fight after detroying the last guy who he lost a split decision to ... so considering the standards it was his best win but don't confuse it with his prime..

Shane Mosley was in his prime peak in the first DLH fight.

I went with a draw ... I see meldric winning more rounds but mosley scoring a knockdown or two .... I think it'll be a great fight with mosley throwin about 600, 700 punches and meldric throwin a good 1000 ... mosley would get drawn into meldrics fight and meldric would benifit by out working shane but he would take some shots and buckle a couple of times ... this would be and all time great shoot out

Tough call, but I think Taylor could have got the decision.

Taylor would've landed more but he just doesn't have the endurance to bang with Shane. I'm a fan of both and it would be a slugfest for the ages but I go with Shane by KO. Taylor could win I'm not counting him out but I doubt he goes the distance with Shane especially the one DLH fought in the first fight.

Once again, a quality thread and a hard decision to make. I think Mosley's slightly superior power gradually wears on Taylor and he is able to take the last two rounds and squeak out a 7-5 decision.

Taylor pre-chavez was a gym rat ... endurance wasn't really an issue until the chavez fight ... that's exactly why I chose 89 version ... he was a lil animal ... if I recall he was somewhere in the top 5 p4p

Shane still has good power and I don't recall Meldrick facing big punchers pre-Chavez. Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll see who he faced with very good power pre-Chavez. I mean really good power. Chavez had good power and broke him down in the late rounds to win and I see Shane doing something of the same in possibly a close fight.

Thanx a lot ... I appreciate the support ... I could see it that way ... I tend to go back and forth ... both men had a 'hit u back' mentality in the ring .... taylor a bit more aggresive in that catagory ... I think mosley was a bit more of a thinker in there ...

This is irrelevant but when things start to get interesting in mosley bouts his back somehow usually gets tight ... I've heard him saying that a couple of times in between rounds ... he usually works thru it but I always asked myself ... is it bad timing or is this a product of the way the bout is @ that point in time
