Good points .. I don't think he had that power either but I think he enough for u to respect it ... I think meldrick was better on his feet than shane ever was and I take that into consideration ... but if u were to tell me they both fought and there was a knockout ill say shane got it 100% of the time

  2. Just from the way Mosley was wrecking people in that stage of his career, vs how Taylor looked in the Chavez fight (his last great performance) I would have to pick Mosley by late KO in one hell of a fight to behold.

That's exactly why I went with 89 taylor ... taylor vs chavez was a great outing for taylor but it was a pretty tragic ending for him ... he wasn't never the same and that's the only fight wherefatigue took its took and I put that on chavez's assault ... brutal puncher and though I think shane isn't too far from him power wise ... shane would head hunt a lot more and mayb that would be the difference

Support well deserved. Mosley does seem to have the intagibles that make you want to pick him going into any fight. He just has the heart and determination along with the ring savvy. The only time I bet against him was vs. Cotto and even then, I walked away with loads of respect for him.

He looked good against Aaron Davis from what I remember.

Both very good fights that I feel are underrated. Shane did some good work getting in some good shots in both fights and though he lost clearly, he showed he could use his mind to get in some good shots through Winky's tight guard. Even against Forrest in the rematch he did better and made it a close fight. I don't see why people call him a "dumb fighter" imo he's a smart brawler.

Taylor liked to fight too much , watch the norris fight. Mosley has the reach and power to stop Taylor around the 8th.

If Taylor used his legs more , rather than stading and trading , he could have been one of the greats.

Sure mosley has the reach but he gives it away ... mosley isn't great on the outside ... in his prime she used the jab a bit but gave it away with lungin lead hooks and always over shot the right ... he was fast enough to jump out of danger but this is one fight that I see that taken away from him

I completely disagree JM. Mosley was stronger, harder puncher, better variety of punches, better chin, taller, reach is longer. That's too many advantages for Shane for him not to beat Meldrick.

Taylor would whoop his ass all over the ring. MOsley sucks

Taylor let both hands drop by his balls after he punched.

His defense made William Joppy look like Willie Pep.

Shane wasnt as easy to hit as Taylor and is a FAR BETTER puncher.:deal
